Changes in progress, as you can see in the block and module on this site.

These changes allow the admin to select the site currency, and the donor to choose their currency.

However, to ensure it all balances in one currency would mean a fairly complex collection of exchange rates, which isn't going to happen short term. So, you may end up with the situation where your site currency is euro, and donations could be in $, euro and yen, but they would all appear summarised as your site currency of euro. In the short term, I will adjust admin so that you can convert individual payments to your site currency manually.

I will set up the Your Account block to reflect totals in the relevant currency.

Thats great news Smile

Is there going to be a option for Euro only donations ?

In theory, it shouldn't be a problem - I had forgotten there is an option in your PayPal account "Profile" area, under "Payment Receiving Preferences" where you need to elect to "No, accept them and convert them to Euros", so in actual fact you should receive in Euros, no matter what currency is donated.

If you don't check that option, you will not automatically receive a confirmed payment and will have to manually confirm every payment in your paypal account.

EDIT: Paypal sandbox was finally working again - with USD as my primary currency, I receive in other currencies just fine and the transactions in Treasury are shown as that currency. Since I have it set to accept and convert, the money is paid into my account in USD automatically.

Okay, new version ready for testing - any takers?
(it has already been tested with over 50 transactions)

Uses IPN only - follow install instructions.
Allows use of sandbox (useful only if you know what you're doing).
Option to set currency for your site.
Option to accept only your currency or other currencies for donations.
Database changes including a format change for user_id in treas_trans.
Lang file started with some basic customizations.

Phoenix,
This is a great port of an extremely valuable tool for most Dragonfly websites. My site has used previous versions of this module and have always had to manually change $ to £ by editing the block. It was therefore great to hear that you have modified it to allow selection of individual currencies in the admin menu. Having just downloaded and installed 9.003 I'm now struggling to find where this feature is implemented ......

I'd be grateful for a pointer as to its location or maybe I'm just being bone ....

Ladies & gentlemen,
I'd like to apologise for my stupidity - clearly I was on the wrong version and should have downloaded 9.1.0.0.

Thanks again to Phoenix - excellent module only let down by poor quality users!

Laughing don't be too hard on yourself - an understandable mistake with the 2 different versions being there.

I left the first version in case someone was still using the PDT method and needed a backup copy. Anyway, time for a cleanup, so the old version is now gone Smile

I just couldn't believe that I had made an error that basic! Anyway the module is now in and working like a dream so thanks.
