hello all,

great site - great mod. I am very glad to see that you will continue the work on this supergreat module.

one question concerning the installation of this module: Can somebody explain me the installation of the version 2.6.5 in short:

1. is there any db created automaitcally?
2. does only the review-module need the database? Are the other parts of the script running without any db?
3. how to switch the language?
4. what features do you plan - Which are the following tasks on this supergreat modle?

any help is appreciated

The sole intent was to tweak NukeAmazon to be HTML 4.01 compliant and to run under CPG-Nuke - that has been achieved, with consequent large speed increases.

1. the database tables are created automatically in the cpg-nuke database.

2. the original 2.6.5 included mods to the php-nuke review module - this wasn't tweaked, so wasn't included.

3. the original had support for 8 languages - I have made some minor tweaks to the english file but not updated the others.

4. the only plan is to add extra stores e.g. there are new ones like Gourmet Foods. Since these are in beta stage, they do have some problems from time to time.

good day all here,

thanks for the site - A site for NukeAmazon is needed - This is a outstanding project.

Well i have some troubles with the new module: after the install of the NukeAmazon module version 2.6.5 i run into some troubles:

Well the module comes with default 70 items but i do not see any books on the site www.MyDomain.com/modul...ame=Amazon well i cant see no book at all!!

i am only able to see some books in the administration-mode of the NukeAmazon-module. There i can see the overview on the allready included books. But on the site www.MyDomain.com/modul...ame=Amazon the only thing i see is the header of the module - with some categories...books, dvd, cameras. I can see no book at all

After i set up new blocks (/there are three blocks shipped with the module) i can see some books showing up in the block block-NukeAmazon.php. But if i click on the image of the book - nothing exciting happenes - i get the page www.MyDomain.com/modul...ame=Amazon but no book showes up!!!

By the way: The block-NukeAmazon2.php and block-NukeAmazon3.php do not show any book!!

to summarize: How should i go on with the NukeAmazon-Module? Do i have to set up some categories to get the module running? What about the mention of the review-index.php -( Edgardo mentioned this, cause it is a option to set up the review-module).

Should i set up the review-option or is it not necessarily needet to get the NukeAmazon-module running on www.MyDomain.com/modul...ame=Amazon

please advice

thanks for any hint and for any help

The first question is, which locale are you using?

The second question is, which version did you install - 2.6.5 or 2.6.5cpg?

The third question is, are you using CPG-Nuke?

There were no 'default items' so I'm not sure which version you are referring to.

I found in the 'us' locale that books didn't show when using the original nuke_amazon_nodes of '1000' for Top Selling books, so I changed it to '504358' and found that I had books showing.

Blocks work differently and blocks 2&3 show random selections of best selling items from all Amazon sections. Block 1 rotates the items you have chosen yourself for display.

The Review module can be modfied to suit CPG-Nuke - I just haven't done it yet - I had updated the original PHP-Nuke version so that it was suitable for PHP-Nuke 7.0.

that sound very very interesting. Well this could be a super interesting hint!

thanks for the great hints on blocks - They were _not_ described anywhere. By the way: if some one takes care oft the documentation the module would get a tremendous feedback. The module is loved by many many Nukers.

Do i need to set up the review module (as Edgardo describes it in his README [ where he advices to do the following: i.e copying the index.php from here to there and creating some db-tables]) for the basic-mode of the NukeAmazon-module? I do not think so. I think that the _review-mode_ is not necessary for the basic mode of the module.

You use it actually on your site (for e.g. www.nukeamazon.com/ama...04478.html )
- cause you are showing the reviews of Amazon.com .

But if i do not set up the review-option (that is copying the index.php of review-module into the NukeAmazon-module (as it is described in the README-PDF of Edgardo Diaz) i should be able to show the books.

to summarize the problems: WEll my problem is.. that there are no books shown in the NukeAmazon-module:

I am only able to see some books in the administration-mode of the NukeAmazon-module and recently also in the block-nukeAmazon.php rotating the images. But when i click on one item (bookcover i get to the module - but there is absolutely no image)

In the Administration-panel of the module, there i can see the overview on the allready included books. But on the site www.MyDomain.com/modul...ame=Amazon the only thing i see is the header of the module - with some categories...books, dvd, cameras. I can see no book at all.
