hello Phoenix,
thanks for the quick reply.
The first question is, which locale are you using?
The second question is, which version did you install - 2.6.5 or 2.6.5cpg?
The third question is, are you using CPG-Nuke?
-i use the german locale [de]
-installed the version 2.6.5 from preciogasolina - site
- no i run phpnuke version 6xx (not yet 7!!)
i the 2.6.5 version -(at least in the version with the german locale ) there were 70 default items in the db.
There were no 'default items' so I'm not sure which version you are referring to. I found in the 'us' locale that books didn't show when using the original nuke_amazon_nodes of '1000' for Top Selling books, so I changed it to '504358' and found that I had books showing.
that sound very very interesting. Well this could be a super interesting hint!
Blocks work differently and blocks 2&3 show random selections of best selling items from all Amazon sections. Block 1 rotates the items you have chosen yourself for display.
thanks for the great hints on blocks - They were _not_ described anywhere. By the way: if some one takes care oft the documentation the module would get a tremendous feedback. The module is loved by many many Nukers.
The Review module can be modfied to suit CPG-Nuke - I just haven't done it yet - I had updated the original PHP-Nuke version so that it was suitable for PHP-Nuke 7.0.
Do i need to
set up the review module (as Edgardo describes it in his README [ where he advices to do the following: i.e copying the index.php from here to there and creating some db-tables]) for the
basic-mode of the NukeAmazon-module? I do not think so. I think that the _review-mode_ is not necessary for the basic mode of the module.
You use it actually on your site (for e.g.
www.nukeamazon.com/ama...04478.html )
- cause you are showing the reviews of Amazon.com .
But if i do not set up the review-option (that is copying the index.php of review-module into the NukeAmazon-module (as it is described in the README-PDF of Edgardo Diaz) i should be able to show the books.
to summarize the problems: WEll my problem is.. that there are no books shown in the NukeAmazon-module:
Well i have some troubles with the new module: after the install of the NukeAmazon module version 2.6.5 i run into some troubles: Well the module (which i run - at least with the german locale) comes with default 70 items but i do not see any books on the site
www.MyDomain.com/modul...ame=Amazon well i cant see no book at all!! I am only able to see some books in the administration-mode of the NukeAmazon-module and recently also in the block-nukeAmazon.php rotating the images. But when i click on one item (bookcover i get to the module - but there is absolutely no image)
In the Administration-panel of the module, there i can see the overview on the allready included books. But on the site
www.MyDomain.com/modul...ame=Amazon the only thing i see is the header of the module - with some categories...books, dvd, cameras. I can see no book at all. After i set up new blocks (/there are three blocks shipped with the module) i can see some books showing up in the block block-NukeAmazon.php. But if i click on the image of the book - nothing exciting happenes - i get the page
www.MyDomain.com/modul...ame=Amazon but no book showes up!!!
well Phoenix, thanks for your help in advance.
