[no] Time zones? Reply to topic

The cal prg is great but why doesn't it adjust the time to match the time zone of the person viewing the event?
Or am I missing a setting somewhere

Regrettably you haven't missed a setting - that's how it works for now. Even worse, it works off server time which also limits its appeal to some.

I have started tinkering with it and will have a further look at it when I get a chance but it requires significant change to work the way you want.

Best I can do is what I've done here:
- improved CPGNuCal so that it reflects the same site setting as the Forums.
- show your personal difference from that setting.
  • Here the board timezone is set at GMT + DST
  • CPGNuCal now adopts the same base setting of GMT + DST
  • Lets say you were in Hawaii, which is -10 GMT, no DST
  • CPGNuCal tells you "Your time adjustment -10:00"
Changing individual event times to reflect your personal timezone requires a significant re-write that I'm not prepared to spend time on.

That would help.

Is the above mention time adjust version released? As a manual text patch?

TIA?

After a lengthy hiatus, I'm now getting back into coding - since I left many things hanging in mid air, I'll have to check where I was up to with that work.
