Mind if I ask some general questions?

Can I somehow set it up so that members can sell things themselves?

Can this be used to offer services, such as a person getting paid to speak at an event?

Would it be very hard to get another module to automatically generate an entry into the store, such as when someone creates a PDF e-book through my site?

Is there a way to insert a person into a group when they make a purchase?

• Maybe - almost anything can be sold as an item - check PayPal AUP.
• No - can be coded, but only for sales through your PayPal account.

Points 1 and 3 are best managed through the classifieds module.
Point 2 also through classifieds unless you are selling the events yourself.
