Multi-Branding a single item Reply to topic

I would like to be able to use the Branding system a bit differently than what I guess it's original intention is.

I would like to be able to present brands as a browsable way to shop. So, people can go in normal, look at one of our publishers in our store, but then also be able to shop by type of book, or genre, depending on the brand it belongs to (being able to assign more than one brand to it would be very helpful as well).

Would this be possible?

Assigning more than one brand is not an option I'll consider just yet.

After all, there can only be one real brand anyway, and I don't need the complication just yet.

I won't deny it for now, just placed on hold.
