Just out of interest - how come it is so high?

I have a running battle with my host over server abuse because I monitor it and they don't realize I do.

I run on a limited user plan, which means higher levels are tolerable to a point, which leads to the host responding "The load on the server is around 10, which is not bad as it has 4 CPUs."

Given that that is the average, they got a pretty hostile answer - the most insulting part is that they expected me to be happy with the response and closed the ticket as "resolved". I'm a firm believer in keeping the bastards honest.
