Summary: Poorly manufactured. Be careful
Comment: My wife researched various water systems, and we chose the Aquasana shower and kitchen filtration systems. Both of them worked well at first, and the water was noticeably improved. the shower filter cartridge soon developed a pinhole leak in the side of the cartridge which happened to spray you right in the face. There is a lot of pressure in the filter, but this kind of manufacturing defect is pretty much inexcusable. I am about to replace the filter, and with some luck, it will turn out the defective one was an exception, but be warned, quality control is an issue.

Comment: Didn't know if a shower filter was what I needed for my sensitive, itchy winter skin, but wow! What a difference! My hair feels better, too! Feels like it does when I shower at the cabin on the lake with clean water (no clorine, rusty old pipes, ect.) Highly recommended!

Comment: I've used this for a year now. Really works. The key to replacement is noticing when you have to turn the faucet handles more and more to get the same flow, then the filter is clogged. If you wait, it will separate itself from back pressure.

Summary: Excellent filter, except for the the ordered one was not working
Comment: I've used this type of filter before (ordered from Aquazana) and was impressed by the quality of filtration and almost no descrease of water flow strength.
However this particular one did not work at all( there were no initial flushes of soiled/carbon water and the chrorine odor persisted after the filtration); obviously it was defective so I've returned it for refund.

However I'm giving 5 stars to the filter as othervise it is an excellent product. Just be careful to get the working one and once you install it please be sure to follow the user manual and make sure it behaves as described. You will be surprised with whe difference it makes.
