With fresh lemons and lime juice to make hair shiny, Daddy-O shampoo has such a gorgeous fragrance of violets, bergamot and roses that some of us use it as shower gel (and on brown hair too, if truth be told). LUSH founder Mark Constantine has been making hair products with natural ingredients since his hair was brown. Once his plentiful locks turned a distinguished grey, he decided to create a special shampoo for himself and share it with everyone with grey or blonde hair.

Comment: For all fans of Lush's bubble bar, Bathos, this shampoo has the same intoxicating violet scent. For those not familiar, this shampoo has one of the sexiest, purple-est scents I've ever smelled in a shampoo (or just about anywhere else). The scent is violets, deepened by clove and some other complementary notes, and the result is beautiful. The shampoo itself is also a deep, dark, purple, which creates an amusingly hot pink lather. The texture is a bit runny, so be careful when squirting. As for results, I've found that this is not the most moisturizing of shampoos, therefore I recommend following with a good conditioner. The scent makes it so worth it to perservere.

Comment: If you ever wondered what it would be like to wander in a field of violets, then this shampoo gives a lush interpretation of what it would be like to walk through one of Raymond Gehman's photographs.

The deep purple color is remnicent of crushed blackberries and the scent is a mingling of lemon, coconut, Bergamot and violets. The truth is, this shampoo is one of the best shampoos Lush sells and I think it gives even more body and texture than Rehab. Use this and follow with the Coolaulin conditioner for shiny bouncy hair that is scented with violets and coconut.

The fragrance follows you around for hours and envelops you in a comforting warmth. This shampoo may have you dreaming about the Purple Haze gift box filled with violet, lavender and blackcurrant items or looking into the "Gratuitous Violets" soap.

To complete the experience, you may want the "Smitten" hand cream - quite luxurious and comforting. For some reason, the All That Jas bath item worked well with the violet scent so my house is now scented with Jasmine and Violets and I feel like I'm walking in fields of flowers.
