Customer Rating: Summary: WaterPik BRP-2 Pik Pocket tip Comment: WaterPik BRP-2 Pik Pocket Replacement Jet Tips (Pack of 2)I bought a WP-60W less than one year ago and the pump has already failed. It never did work well. It pumped intermittently with very low pressure or not at all. It is a cheesy contraption at best in my opinion. Previously I had a WP-32W. It had 2 Pik Pocket Jet Tips 2 reservoirs Lg. & Sm. and it lasted 10 years. Teledyne has stopped making this one. Go figure !! Customer Rating: Summary: great for gums Comment: The Water Pik and pik pocket tips are really a wonderful thing for gum health. My husband was on the verge of extensive gum surgery when he started using the water pik with the pik pocket tips. He uses them daily with a mixture of 50/50 Listerine and water. Thus far he has avoided the knife and substantially improved the condition of his gums! The effect of the special tip is to reduce the force of water into the gum spaces, so that the space is irrigated gently rather than forced further away from the teeth, which would happen with the regular tip.
It's a keeper! Customer Rating: Summary: Waterpik good and bad Comment: My wife and I have been using Waterpik for years and we have found that it cleans our teeth and raises the health in our gums. My dentist loves it.
I find it irritating that they include only one jet tip in a $45 machine. My wife would like to have her own tip, plus the one we have broke - leaving us without a machine. They are not for sale in the stores but you can buy them on-line for $15 per jet pick - (including s&h) - crazy! I think they can do better than that.
It is so effective that we use it despite the irritation.
