Customer Reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: I am a believer !! Comment: I take a tablet everyday thru the cold and flu season. Regardless of whether I feel cold symptoms or not. I have not had one cold even though my children have had 6 !!! This product is loaded with great stuff that is good for you. I refuse to go thru winter without it. Customer Rating: Summary: Works every time Comment: I've been taking Airborne for years now and it really does work. And I don't think it's a placebo effect because other natural remedies have not worked for me (except zinc lozenges, which also work, but they taste so awful). I have a small child in school and so she gets frequent colds. I give her small doses of Airborne when she has cold symptoms and it seems to help, but I can't know for sure.
I usually start taking Airborne when she comes home with a cold and every time I've done so, I haven't caught the cold. Coincidence? Could be. But when I don't take it and I do start having symptoms myself, I take the Airborne and the symptoms are gone - and I mean completely gone - when I wake up the next morning. In the past five years, I have not once had cold symptoms that lasted more than 24 hours. No residual stuffy nose or cough (and I'm a smoker - so the coughs I used to get from colds would linger for a couple of weeks) - no nothing. I'm completely sold on this stuff. Customer Rating: Summary: Good product! Comment: After learning more about this product from our adult son, I tried to find it less expensively and more in bulk than a regular grocery or drug store. It seems to help my husband boost his immunity, to a certain extent, but we have already tried a few other things for him. He works near lots of people on his second job and the weather is cold/rainy since it is winter in SoCal.
Customer Rating: Summary: Seems to help... Comment: Who can really say how effective this product is? Having been prone to upper respiratory infections recently, I decided to give Airborne a try. It does seem to be making a difference as I am doing better, but I'm not totally convinced Airborne gets all the credit for that. That said, I do think it is a reasonable mixture of ingredients that should be immune system boosters and is worth adding to my diet during the flu season. If you expect a nice warm cup of something good to drink, forget it. I have the orange flavor and it does NOT taste good to me. Maybe I will try lemon next as I hear it's more palatable. Customer Rating: Summary: I'll admit the box has great artwork! Comment: The truth is that there is no reliable clinical evidence that shows that Airborne is at all effective in reducing symptoms or preventing the common cold. The one "clinical study" performed, at the behest of the company, is of extremely dubious quality (and the link to this study is not even on the product's web site any longer). While I have met people who have said that Airborne helps them, this is almost certainly a placebo effect. If you wish to research this product, Scientific American, The New York Times, and the "Orac Knows" blog web sites have good articles on it, and a little digging will find many more. Zinc lozenges, on the other hand, do have some clinical data to back up their efficacy, so I would highly recommend that you spend your money there instead.
