Customer Rating: Summary: Waste of money Comment: When the can actually worked the product was okay. After I used the product twice I noticed the bottle was practically empty. I used it sparingly (I have short dark brown hair) so where did the product go?? It must have evaporated out of the bottle! The 4th time I went to use the spray the nozzle stopped working. I washed the nozzle in hot water to no avail. The packaging is garbage! I just spent $21 to dry shampoo my hair 3 times. What a rip off! $21 for a bottle of essentially corn starch and they can't even master making a working aeresol can! Try one of the other brands instead. Customer Rating: Summary: Bottle broke after first use Comment: The first time I used this, I couldn't really tell the difference between my hair before and after. Then my bottle broke, so I couldn't use it again, so it was really a waste of money. Customer Rating: Summary: first time i've used a product like this Comment: I've always wanted to try a dry shampoo. i've read about most of the brands that carry them in magazines. so one day i went to sephora hoping to pick up the one stila makes- unfortunately they didn't carry it. after playing around in the hair section for an hour i decided on buying the small eleven dollar cannister of the oscar blandi dry shampoo. I love the lemony endust like scent, I have used it three times and have not had a problem with the nozzle clogging up- but it does say on the bottle- if that does happen- wash it in warm water. I have asian hair- it's naturally a reddish brown color- and i haven't had a problem with the spray making my hair look gray or leaving powdery flakes behind. at first i thought- i must not be using it right or maybe there's nothing in the can! But after brushing the product through my hair- i saw the oily sheen turn matte and my hair felt thicker and fuller.
now that my curiousity is satiated, i don't know if i'll buy more products like these. but i do like the oscar blandi line. (the ojan line had an offensive smell... the sales girl kept telling me how wonderful it was- but i couldn't get past the smell... it smelled like greasy hair that hasn't been washed in a month) thank god sephora offers travel sized versions of most of the hair product lines they sell because i can never commit myself to using a full size. Customer Rating: Summary: Doesn't even deserve 1 star!! Comment: This product is horrible. The spray clogs after the first use and leaks out. The white residue is nearly impossible to get out with a brush like the bottle says. Also, it doesn't last long at all. $21 at Ulta for about 3 uses. They wouldn't take it back even though the spray was clogged. So my beef is with not only Oscar Blandi (whoever the hell he is) but also with corporations like Ulta that won't listen to you when it clearly states on the receipt that "unless you are totally satisfied with your purchase you may return it". Suck it ULTA and OSCAR BLANDI!! Customer Rating: Summary: Good product WHEN IT WORKS! Comment: I only got to use this spray 3 times before the nozzle clogged up and started spraying wet sticky powder chunks at me. I took the nozzle off and ran it under warm water and nothing. So I tried scrubbing the nozzle with a toothbrush to help unclog the hole and still nothing. It kept spurting globs of powder. After only 3 more quick test sprays after cleaning the nozzle it seems that my can ran out of air and I can still feel a TON of product in there.
When it DID work the product was just average so I don't believe this is worth the price especially with the amount of other people who have had issues with the spray nozzle. My can seemed to spray more powder than it should so sometimes I'd get too much in one spot and it was hard to get an even distribution and once that spot dries you have to scrap the white powder off of your hair. The smell was also average. A little too powdery smelling for me.
I recommend any other dry shampoo you can find at your local drugstore under $10 such as "pssst dry shampoo" because it's cheap, gets the job done, doesn't spray too much, and if it clogs up you can go buy two more for the same price you would have paid for THIS product!
