Summary: Decent starter
Comment: I bought this product a year from now discounted, which was less than $35. I think it's pretty basic for my needs. I have dry straight hair. I usually only use the lowest setting, which is still pretty hot. I haven't tried the highest settings as my hair is pretty easy to straighten.

Seems a little slow to heat up, 2-3 minutes or so. But, heats up pretty well. I've used it maybe once a week with no problems. One thing I would advise is to follow the instructions. Like, this is not a wet to dry straightener.

Also, it's no Sedu or CHI. But, I straighten my hair once in awhile, so no big deal. If you want to lengthen the life of your hair while straightening, be sure to use some thermal protection!
