Customer Rating: Summary: Pleased Comment: I ordered this because I wanted something that allowed me to use my phone as a mp3 player in my car and still charge it, and this has not disappointed. I was amazed at how fast it shipped to my house (day after) and was eager to try it out. It works as advertised and can't beat the price. The only issue I have with this is when having to use the phone as it has been stated you have to unplug it to be able to be heard. As another reviewer mentioned using your bluetooth headset will avoid this problem which is useful in the car but when I use it as a"walk around" mp3 player, I don't bother using a bluetooth and just unplug it when making a call. Other than that which I consider forgivable I have no issues with this product, it works great on my ATT Tilt Windows 6.1. Customer Rating: Summary: Works perfect with HTC Touch from Sprint Comment: Title says it all... I wanted to use my own headphones to listen to music while at work and still be able to charge my phone so I had a full battery when I left work.
Works perfect! Customer Rating: Summary: Overall awesome! Comment: 1st, I thought it was great that I received this sooner than stated.
2nd, it works!!! I have a t-mobile g1 and an AUX port in my car. the adapter fits nice and flush with the phone, and works perfect through the speakers of my car!
I've seen similar products that are 15 dollars or more AND they have cable slack (which I didn't want)
all-in-all, if you are a g1 owner looking to hook your phone to your Axillary jack, then this is for you! Customer Rating: Summary: Works like a champion Comment: This product worked flawlessly with my ATT Tilt. Other reviewers have stated that while plugged in you can't be heard if you answer or make a call. However it should be stated that if you're using a blue tooth (BT) headset you'll be unaffected, and your BT headset while allow you to communicate.
Also, I have had no problems charging the unit while listening to music via headphones. The device works as advertised.
Furthermore, another reviewer stated the the mini USB connector broke off in his ATT Tilt. With that information in mind I was very careful to inspect the connector and cautiously connected the unit to my phone. I have had no problems.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works Well, with Modification even on a XV6800 Comment: I got this knowing it wasn't directly compatible with the XV6800. I wanted a way to use my audio, as well as change and/or sync my phone. Especially in my car, I wanted a 3.5mm jack and be able to use my car charger.
Needless to say, I found this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=376623&page=2 which showed me how to modify the adapter to fix the htc 6800 flaw people have been experiencing. I bent the appropriate pin down, and cut it off with an hobby knife, and poof... works beautiful 100%.
I don't like the dongle/cord type adapters because they are always too fragile. This looks like its going to stand up to more abuse.
4 stars because, as someone else mentioned, it disabled the microphone so you have to disconnect to to be able to use the phone as a phone. (Which is standard for EVERY adapter I've found).
Cheers!
So, with modification xv6800 works great. Sure it might with other htc 6800s.
