Customer Rating: Summary: Disney put their name on this? Comment: There is a very small FM slice available that this microphone can broadcast to. Within that slice we found that it only broadcasts to one channel. Therefore, you must have a radio that you can precisely tune. We were eventually able to hear our voices, but it didn't cut out any of the static or broadcast that was going on. You simply hear your voice over all this noise. It wouldn't have mattered if that channel was being used or not. The static was not filtered out in the least.
We also never got any of the sound effects to come through clearly no matter what we tried. We were done with the product within 15 minutes of taking it out of the box. Our daughter still tried to give it a go but tired of it 10 minutes later. That's it, 25 minutes and we'll never use it again. Customer Rating: Summary: Disappointed Comment: Didn't have a clue how to get it to function - had to read the reviews on this site to figure it out. Even then, was basically a miracle that I found a frequency where it worked. But, soon found out I had the same problem as several others - I have A S A, no M function. So, my daughter cannot use that feature, which is basically the whole point of this toy. Since it was so inexpensive, it really is a waste of my time to try calling the manufacturer or returning it. Guess she can just use it as a play microphone. Although we already have a plastic American Idol one from McDonald's, and this one even makes her voice echo and sound cool. And it was free! Customer Rating: Summary: We like it... Comment: My daughter got it for Christmas...ours also did not come with instructions, but reading other reviews helped us figure it out. My daughter is 9 and she really likes it and in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area the FM Radio frequency works great...99.7 or so... Customer Rating: Summary: Very poor quality, one barely worked, one not at all right out of package! Comment: I bought two of these microphones from Kohl's and paid less than $5 for each of them. Glad I didn't spend more because one didn't work at all upon taking it out of the package and the other only partially worked with just the antenna that lit up. I knew these were not fancy and had gotten less than favorable reviews before I bought them so I was not surprised at the very poor quality but I at least expected them to work briefly as opposed to not at all. Do not waste your money even if Hannah Montana is a goddess in your child's eyes. Get a plain microphone and some Hannah Montana stickers if that's the case. My kids are young enough to not be too devastated but it's still disappointing so for anyone whose child might be heartbroken if this doesn't work please be aware! Customer Rating: Summary: Avoid Comment: Avoid. Came with no instructions or frequencies; how is one supposed to tune? Guess? Tried auto-scan and suggested frequencies from other reviews on this site and others; none worked.
Avoid unless you wish to take the chance of a very disappointed child.
Three buttons labeled "A" and "S" and again "A"
I guess someone in quality control said "Ship It!"
As always the customer is the Test Lab.
Avoid or at least KEEP YOUR RECIEPT FOR THE RETURN.
