Summary: Great little gadget for sink
Comment: I bought an older home and lots of things wear out or didn't come with the home (you know how they got "lost"). I have old pipes that tend to clog when I use the garbage disposal and I need to protect it. I have bought several other kinds and they don't work well. This OXO works great and you don't have to worry b/c this works! If I lost mine I would buy it again

Comment: Oxo Good Grips 1308200 Silicone Sink Strainer

I bought two of these - one for the kitchen and one for the laundry room where I feed my cat. They work great in both areas. It's easy to dump the debris and they just seem cleaner than the usual sink strainers.

Summary: Great Strainer!
Comment: A useful little accessory for any sink. The convenient little handle makes it a breeze to remove the strainer from the sink hole and allows the silicon mesh to be inverted easily. I like the fact that the silicon is of a dark color which makes it almost indiscernible when it's sitting in the sink hole. The metal frame is raised only slightly so there is minimal blockage for the waste flowing into the strainer. Wish it could have been flat but I guess that might be an impossible design.

Make sure you have at least an inch and a half of clearance for the strainer to sit comfortably in the sink hole.

Comment: I like the fact that it is very decorative, and it is also easy to dispose trapped food particles away from the sink; however, it gets really slimy underneath the rim if you do not brush or clean it regularly. This is one disadvantage that I can think of.
