Editorial Review:
Diaper pant colors may vary. For the last 40 years there have been but two choices in diapers. Cloth or disposable. Thats it. Now gDiapers offers a third option. Flushable. gDiapers puts waste where it belongs, in the toilet. Not the landfill. gDiapers have no elemental chlorine, no perfumes, no smell, no garbage and no guilt. In fact, flushables are so gentle on the Earth you can even garden compost the wet ones in one compost cycle, approximately 50 150 days. Just think of the standing ovation youll get from the planet.

Customer Rating: Summary: No more rash, no more trash Comment: I bought these to try out with my second baby, thinking all the while that it would probably end up being too much of a hassle to be worthwhile. Much to my surprise, these are super easy to use. The biggest benefit of all, though, is that my baby's diaper rash is non-existent when I use these diapers. All it takes is one day of using regular disposables and her bottom turns red again.
These are good for the environment, so easy my husband even likes them and extra cute.
Use the Amazon Subscribe & Save program and they are even cost-effective. Customer Rating: Summary: Better for baby's bottom Comment: We love love LOVE these diapers!
We had been using the typical disposable diapers (Pampers, Huggies, store brands, ect.) from day 1 - while I wanted to be a little more helpful to the environment I didn't have the time to deal with cloth diapers and I know my daycare wouldn't want to either.
I was very happy to learn about these diapers and how much better they are for the environment than regular disposables. I was shocked to learn that regular disposables take about 500 YEARS to compost in the landfills - I had no idea! I read as much as I could about these diapers on their website and online and figured I'd give them a try, even though I thought it would end up being too much of a hassle to deal with the flushing and arranging of these diapers. We tried the starter kit and I have to say these were much easier to use than I thought they would be, and my husband agreed. After a few diaper changes it becomes a piece of cake. What I liked the most is that the diaper rash my daughter had for about 2 weeks disappeared within ONE DAY of using these diapers. They are breathable - and her little bottom showed the difference. They may cost a little bit more than disposables but I think they're worth it.
Even though these diapers are marketed as 'flushable' you don't have to flush them. If you toss them in the trash like regular disposables they only take about 90 days to decompose as opposed to 500 years for the plastic diapers. If you do decide to flush though it is quite easy to do once you've done it a few times.
For those people who want to help the environment a bit by not using plastic diapers but don't want to or can't deal with cloth diapers - these are the perfect answer. Customer Rating: Summary: Great alternative! Review from a former pampers user! Comment: Easy to use! I took back cases of pampers that I received as shower gifts. These are cute, with lots of diaper cover options(I have only found them on the gdiapers website). We use these whenever we go out. I also use 3.0 bum genius around the house in addition to gdiapers. Gdiapers will leak if you do not change your baby often. I have heard others say that two liners, one used as instructed and the other folded up front for boys, in the middle for girls helps with that problem, especially overnight. Some people also use inserts or prefolds with these covers and use liners for going out. The covers come in small, med and large. The inserts come in small and med/large. Covers are soft and durable. The liners are also pretty soft. They are not like pampers, number 2 will not absorb into the pad-if your baby is on the smaller than the suggested weight for the diapers, they could be MESSY. Covers wash easily, no stains so far. But this has only been a problem with our baby until he reached about 8 lbs. Great for the environment, If you follow the instructions, they flush easily. We mostly throw ours in the trash. Using these and bum genius- I will never again use a regular diaper. I bought enough gdiapers and liners in small, med, and large to last through this and our next baby! The covers are an investment and they are one of the reasons these seem so pricey. If you will be having more kids, this could save money since you will only need to buy liners later on. Customer Rating: Summary: gDiapers, love em Comment: Our family just loves the gDiapers. We started using them one month ago for our one year old son, which has been wonderful! We have only had one leak, but then I learned the 'tricks' from other users(gDiaper group on yahoo). My son is happy and seems to actual enjoy watching the flushable liner go 'bye bye'. I only have the starter kit and have purchased more liners, which seem to work out A OK for us.
We'd suggest them to anyone who's interested in being 'green' to their baby & the Earth! Not to mention you can sign up to be a 'gMum' or 'gDad'! :) Customer Rating: Summary: BEST diapers EVER!! and its pretty^^ Comment: this diaper is the greatest thing ever if you don't want the hassle of cloth diaper and the environmental impact of disposiable. Before i started using it, i was worry about the leaking, clogging, and the grossness of taking it apart. I read many review about the difficulties of taking it apart and flushing it properly. but when i actually got the diaper, it was the easiest thing (it was fun too HAHA) and had no problem flushing it down (my toilet normally get clog easily, but the diaper's fillings has no problem being flushed as long as you remember to use their stick)!! i really love these diapers, they never leaked either (i have a very active 10mo old) because of the plastic lining. it is better than disposiable. It is almost double the price of disposiable, but way cheaper than the "eco friendly" diapers, but i think its all worth it!! And no more smelly used diapers at home anymore!!!TRY IT^_^ you will LOVE it!!
