Summary: Don't buy this CRAPPY toilet seat!!
Comment: I thought this was the best thing since perforated toilet paper, like many other reviewers, but after a few weeks of use the seat starts to get very loose and the cheap thin plastic "hinge holder" eventually breaks. I called their customer service who promptly sent a new seat(without even verifying any info, which tells me this is a very common problem) When it arrived the snap cover for the "hinge holder" was already broken in the box!! I haven't had time to deal with it since and have been wobbling around every time I use it, I'm going now to buy something I can BOLT DOWN.

Summary: quick release is a silly feature
Comment: I bought this product at Home Depot for $50.00 and it will be returned tomorrow. The quick release is an absolutely terrible idea and I don't know who thought of it. It compromises the rigidity of the toilet seat and I found that it wobbled and shifted too much. If you need to take off the toilet seat just unscrew it from underneath! Pick up a tool! I hate it when manufacturers treat you like idiots. They wind up making an inferior product. When you tighten down on this product the cheap plastic holders spread apart and don't grip well. This is a result of that quick release feature. Yes the cover is supposed to snap down and keep it all together but I found that I couldn't tight it tight enough to keep it from shifting on the toilet.

Comment: I bought this toilet seat to replace a wooden /painted white one that was in the house we purchased. I have always hated the wooden painted seats because they tend to stain and the paint will scratch off or peel off after some time. This seat is a thicker quality than those flimsy cheap seats you can get and I like the "quiet close" feature, works very well. I would never buy a wooden toilet seat - buy this one instead!

Comment: I saw this at a friends' house and knew I had to have it, I needed to replace a toilet seat. This Kohler seat is easy to install and once you slightly push on the lid or seat, it will continue to close, quietly. It looks great and is easy to clean. What more could you want from a toilet seat?
