Comment: I bought this product for my husband who is a professional barber. He had one before but it was a different brand. He thinks this one is tops. It heats up fast and because of its size, it fits well on crowded counter tops. I recommend this product to any professional barber or hair stylist that is looking for a quality hot lather machine.

Comment: WARM! Not hot. That's what you have to remember about this product. As far as I'm concerned, warm is fine. But, if you want hot lather on your face, you need to shell out the 100-200 bucks that it will cost to put you in a machine like the old barber shops used to have. Just don't expect to be mushed with hot lather with this product because it won't happen. The one exception might be when the lather gets thin, either because you don't shake it before use, or because the shaving cream itself is watery. I have found that Gillette Foamy works good for me. I tried Colgate and it was thin and watery. That causes the lather to come out hot, at least on the first bit out of the spout. I haven't tried any others yet, but will get around to using some other brands down the road.

Just remember, the operative word is "warm."

Comment: I bought this for my husband over 2 years ago for his birthday since he liked the hot shaves they gave him at the barber shop. He absolutely adors this thing now and uses it every time he shaves. The only bad thing is that you don't exactly have a variety of shaving foams out there you can buy since most stuff out there now is gel and you can't use gel with this device. Otherwise, it's great - it works consistently and is very durable.
