It also does well for your garden implements and bicycles. I have not used it for low pressure applications like basketballs and soccer balls but I would think it would work well. It is not a high volume pump but handles pressures to 65 lbs easily. Customer Rating: Summary: Inaccurate gauge, but otherwise very good Comment: I'm buying my second one of these, having given the first to my brother-in-law. It is loud but not ridiculously so, and it is slow but not frustratingly so. It takes about 10 minutes to bring a 30-psi car tire up to 44 psi. My only complaint: the gauge tends to read about 5 psi high, so you'll want to double-check tire pressure with a second gauge. Otherwise, I'm very pleased, and having one of these has really helped me stay better about keeping my tires properly inflated! It even has a nice end compartment where the power cord and air hose get stored. I just wish it would work faster, but it is well worth the price.
