Comment: HD TV WITH THE OLD S-VIDEO NON-MALE PLUG WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS CABLE.
OLD HD TV HAS TWO FEMALE JACKS AND A S-VIDEO JACK WITH MULTIPLE FEMALE PLUGS OUTLETS.
THE PS2 JACK WORKS FINE. I CANNOT REVIEW THE CABLE AS IT DOES NOT FUNCTION WITH MY 2002 SONY WEGA TV.

Summary: Cable worked great with a 1st generation Playstation 2
Comment: I read some reviews that said that this cable & cables similar to it didn't work with their PS2s, and that all they got were blank or black screens.

I recently updated to a large HDTV and wanted to get a component cable for my PS2 to improve picture quality over what I was getting with my old composite cable. I decided to take a chance on this cable even though I was worried that it wouldn't work with my old 1st generation PS2 given that the price on this cable was so low.

Well, I was very pleased with the purchase. The cable works fine, and I didn't even have to make any adjustments to the PS2 (which some people have stated they needed to do). I just exchanged the old cable for this one, turned it on, and it worked great. Furthermore, the picture quality over my composite cable was definitely noticeable.

If you're looking for a HDTV component cable for your PS2, I'd recommend this one.

Comment: When I got my PS3 I was a little irritated. I mean What the #^#&? I get a blue player/video game console and I can't watch the full graphic capability? Seriously, no point buy a system like that if you can't play it in HD. I got this cable, and even though it says it's for PS2, it works great on my PS3. Save the money, and buy this. I'm picky about picture quality and sound quality, you lose nothing, and it's about a fourth the price.

Comment: I was initially concerned that this cable was so cheap, but all my doubts were instantly washed away once I used it! The picture is great, and the audio is as well. This cable is actually better in quality than the stock RCA cable that I received with my PS2; it has gold-plated connectors and the cable itself just feels sturdier. I would highly suggest buying this product.

Summary: Great PS2 cable for HDTV
Comment: Having jsut had an HDTV for less than a week now, I can't really tell you hard facts about the resolution you get with this cable.

I can tell you that we hooked up our old PS2 with the standard RCA cables and the picture looked awful. I hooked up the PS2 with this cable and the picture improved greatly to my eye!!!I did not change any settings on the PS2. Who knows, if there is a setting to change the picture might improve even more.

I am very pleased with this cable.
