Summary: A few drawbacks, but otherwise quite nice
Comment: I debated between giving this item a 3-star and 4-star review. They are superbly comfortable and feel really nice on the feet. The scent is lovely and long-lasting, and I use them near my microwave so re-heating every so often isn't an issue. But the velcro opening on the bottom where you put the microwave-heated insert is a little too small for the insert, so you have to jam the insert in and struggle with it a bit. Also, the velcro on mine is also starting to come off, so I have to be very careful when opening the pocket. I don't wear them much, only during cold parts of the year wehen sitting at my computer for long periods of time, and they are really handy to keep my feet from turning to popsicles. Don't get them if you want to walk around the house, you can't do that, you're supposed to put them on and stay put.

Comment: Once you get the heating packet out and back in (which is not easy) it works great for warming. Unfortunately I almost gag from the "aroma therapy". It smells HORRIBLE... find some with no "aroma". You'll be glad you did.

Summary: Wonderful for cuddling up with a book
Comment: I just received these, excellent price here on Amazon. They are exactly as I imagined them. You take out the rice/herb pack, which isn't an overpowering smell I might add, and microwave it. My microwave must be a little on the low power end, I needed 2 minutes to warm it up. Now, I wouldn't recommend walking around on them, but you don't need to tie the ankles up, so it's not at all hard to get out of (I guess if you had bigger feet it might be, I have size 6.5-7 women's). I can walk short distances, like to grab a drink from the fridge. And the heat lasts a good long time. I'm thinking about getting one of the pillows or neck wraps now!

Comment: these are cute and cozy and certainly warm enough, depending on length of time in microwave, BUT you absolutely cannot walk in them!! the rice and flax seed are quite lumpy!! so, if you have to get up to get something or jump up in a hurry, then you have to take them off first!! i thought this to be rather inconvenient. nothing really good to say about these.
