Comment: I have used my calorie smart everyday since august 08'! Great piece of equipment-helps me stay on track and motivated. I highly recommend this for people managing weight and dieters. It also tracks activities (calories burned, and minutes) which many other models dont have, this feature also helps you keep exersize goals ( so many minutes per day or calories burned per day) You can set personal goals (total calories, carbs, fats, proteins, etc ) Also, when you set your current weight and goal weight the handheld will tell how many calories you need to burn per week to achieve that goal. You can log your own foods if it is not already programmed (like a local restaruant's nutritional info), and it is easy to do! This is very very simple to use and fast, I use it every day!! My mother owns a differant kind with a pen, that you use as a touch screen....it is very difficult to use, and you cannt read the screen (so she never uses that thing) This is the best one I have incountered and cheaper then most that I've seen with the same features.

Comment: I like this thing a lot. I use it only to track food, not exercise. Nonetheless, I find very useful. It is easy to use, easy to enter or delete entries, to add favorite foods, etc. Sometimes it freezes up, and I need to take out the batteries for it to function again. Apart from this, I like it and really recommned it.

Summary: Good product but small flaw
Comment: This product is a great way to manage your caloric intake. However - just a few things to know if your lifestyle is similiar to mine - on the road most of the time. If you are on the move you will be keeping the calorie counter in your bag somewhere - and the button on the face is not covered by a protective face and it constantly is turned on by pressure from various items in the bag and wears out the battery. My resolution has been to keep it in a small bag with a hard cardboard in front of the face to prevent this. Seems to work.

The second thing to know is that for as many foods in the data bank as there are - there are alot missing - there is a function to add items into the system and that will take some time and research...just an fyi.

My third fyi is that you need to know that you cannot manage the system on the desktop...all activity must take place on the physical calorie counter.

Still - to have this portable machine is a great way to become cognizant of your own health.....it really makes you realize what food items have high calories...and which have low ones and are better choices......for it's faults (in my opinion only) it is still well made and a worth while purchase.

Comment: I received this item two days ago and so far, it's great! I find it very easy to use and so far I haven't had any trouble locating a particular food in the memory. Easy to enter new foods also. Exercise log is very helpful, too. Highly recommend this item if you are trying to track your daily calorie intake.
