Customer Reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Good, but not really "clear" Comment: I ordered this because of the reviews that it worked great. I thought it was good, but a bit thick and definately not clear. It leaves a little pale look to your skin - guess that shows it is working! Customer Rating: Summary: I'm really impressed! Comment: I'm blown away by this stuff--I picked it up at one of my local grocery stores for $9.00. I was actually looking for a facial sunblock, but I decided to try this one even though it's for body, since there didn't appear to be any ingredients that would break me out. This product does everything it says it will do! It's not greasy, doesn't break me out, protects my skin, and it's loaded with antioxidants, more so than the average sunblock. Vitamin A, C, E, plus cranberry and green tea--I know I've paid more for sunblocks that contained way less antioxidants. I've rarely been able to wear something with SPF this high on my face without breaking out. I think I found my new favorite daily sunblock, and it's a bargain too! Customer Rating: Summary: Great sun protection Comment: I had been looking for something with zinc oxide, and while this product must be really rubbed in, it seems to provide excellent protection. Customer Rating: Summary: The Best of the Physical Sunblocks Comment: I went to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with photosensitivity that causes me to break out in a terrible itchy rash when exposed to sun for more than a couple of days in a row (a cruel twist of irony since I love and can now afford tropical vacations). My dermatologist recommended that I use sunscreen with zinc and/or titanium dioxide. I have tried many different brands over the last two years in three topical vacations.
The challenge is most of the sunblocks that have enough of either these ingredients are so sticky (e.g. Nutragena for Sensitive Skin or COTZ -- the COTZ is the worst for sticky and is tinted a strange color) and are not very wear resistant. I just returned from a week at Club Med in Cancun where I took 3 different brands of sunblock to try - Blue Lizard Australian Suncream -- Baby; Clear Zinc and Sponix. The Blue Lizard Baby just washed off more quickly than any other brands I've tried. The Sponix stayed on longer but the winner for me was the Clear Zinc. Not sticky, doesn't leave a lot of white residue, and stays on better than many of the others (it's water resistant but not water proof). I was outside in Cancun nearly all day, every day either sailing, waterskiing or snorkeling and I did not burn (I'm very fair) and had very little of the photosensitive reaction. 5 stars, two big thumbs up and is now my sunblock of choice.
