Customer Rating: Summary: suggestion Comment: This device is a good idea. I bought a set to try it out. I received it yesterday.
The handle does accept a wide variety of toothbrushes and holds them stably in place. The grip feels comfortable. The power is turned on by squeezing the handle itself to make the electrical contact. It is turned off by releasing it. This makes it hard for smaller children with weaker grips, and somewhat inconvenient for adults. I improvised by placing a rubber band on the grip, then squeezing it and sliding the rubber band forward to keep it squeezed down.
I think this device is a great idea, if the next generation would have a button to turn the power on and off. As for how well it cleans the teeth, I think it will do a good job, once you get used to it.
