Customer Rating: Summary: Lead and wash your hands! Comment: I just got this last night. I'm sorry to say like the reviewer below there is infact a lead warning label on this product. I feel bad for the amazon employees that have to handle this product and put in the box for me. Did they get to wash their hands right after? The labels are big and after setting it down I don't really want to touch it again, I will be ordering a new cord that might be a little more.
Only thing it has good is a see through ends on the cords and the one opposite the wall plug lights up, and you can actually see the ground connectors are plugged in. Sadly the risk of contamination is not worth it, if you have children especially or expect to use and handle this alot, as a matter of fact owning this at all is bad for your health. I will post the label pictures when I get a chance up at the product section. Don't buy this!
edit update:
I've looked around and this is exactly the same as the Coleman 25ft and 50ft yellow color extension cords. This one is not labeled on the product page as having lead, as those 2 are. The difference is mainly the cardboard sleeve when you unwrap them the others say "Coleman". Customer Rating: Summary: Nice quality single outlet 25' extension cord. Comment: If you need a single outlet cord, this is a good one in this length. For the money it cannot be beat. Customer Rating: Summary: For the money, great! Comment: For any 25' outdoor cord under 10 bucks to be constructed with reasonable build quality is a good thing. For them to work as well as this one has is even better.
Some folks are all up in arms about the lead... but it's an outdoor cord, and I have no intentions of licking the interior of the cord... for extended periods of time.
In short, to hook up my lights for the lowest cost possible and have excess length that can be used down the road this product, it exceeds the cost elsewhere and the quality is great. Customer Rating: Summary: IT's decent as a spare lying around Comment: Though I didn't expect much for the 6.33 I paid I was happy with the overall build quality. It's 16 gauge wire so it's rated at 13amps and 1375 watts so keep that in mind. The fact it was yellow with well made plugs are what I wanted. Time will tell if it holds up but initially I like it.
