Summary: Make sure your laptop display can open very wide
Comment: I bought this for my 17" MacBook Pro. I currently use a Griffin Elevator at home and I wanted something to use in the office. This looked like a nice stand for a great price. It is a nice stand but does not work for my MacBook Pro at all.

1) The stand is sturdy and should hold just about any laptop with ease.
2) The mesh is nice if your laptop needs ventilation.
3) The design of this stand is that the front of your laptop sits low while the rear end tilts up at an angle. This puts the display at a much higher location than normal, thus keeping you from bending your neck to view your screen. The problem is that when the base of your laptop is placed at this angle your display needs to tilt back VERY FAR in order for it to be vertical. My display did not open wide enough and so when I place it on this stand the display is tilting forward and thus is harder to read than if it were just sitting on the desk.

I'm sure this works very well with laptops that open wider than mine which is why I gave it 3 stars. However, I couldn't give it more because it is unusable with my machine (and many others like it).

Comment: I have had some cheaper models, and got what I paid for. Since this model was so well priced, I was afraid I would be disapointed again. Gladly, I am pleased without reservation. This product works as it should; keeps the laptop cool, the positions are good, and the laptop stays put without any extra cords or screws. I am about to buy another for my daughters laptop. Recommended with full confidence.

Comment: I bought this stand on a $20 impulse. It is great value. In hindsight, for my personal needs, I should have bought a stand that raises the laptop up off the desk a bit and have room to put stuff (keyboard, papers, whatever) underneath. If you that is not an issue and you want good value, I would recommend this item.

Comment: I just got a second one after buying another 6 months ago. They are cheap, durable, sturdy, adjustable, the mesh lets the laptop keep cool, and it's not too bad looking (has clean modern look). It does not have a USB hub but hey...for the money, this stand is GREAT!

Comment: My laptop kept getting too hot and either running very slowly or turning itself off so I bought this stand...and all I can say is it is a fantastic product! My computer stays cool now and I have not had any further propblems with it. The height of the stand is adjustable and it holds the computer in place and it stays put on the desk too....I couldn't be more satisfied...it's built like a tank and the price is great as well.
