Dyson mounted the 10-amp motor within the ball for a low center of gravity and installed a pivoting 13-inch cleaner head to further enhance the vacuum’s superior mobility.

Crafted in ABS and polycarbonate materials, the vacuum fits under coffee tables and beds with a low profile head. The motorized brush bar benefits from a direct drive to aggressively dislodge embedded debris. For hard floors or delicate carpets, prevent scratching with the push-button brush bar shutdown. The vacuum’s Root-8 Cyclone technology powerfully sucks dirt through the spacious debris channel, depositing it in the transparent .71-gallon dustbin. The bin empties at the push of a button, requiring virtually no physical contact with its contents. The permanent, washable HEPA air filter ensures that collected allergens stay contained inside the vacuum while the vacuum releases air with 150 times less bacteria and mold. Comment: We bought one few months ago and I worked fantastic till 29th day when motor for the brush suddenly burned. Amazon was great they picked up the Vac in 2 days and the same delivery guy delivered another one like this. Its been three months after this and its working great If it keeps working like this I would give it all the marks. It cleans really good and We never had this much cleaning ever.I havent tried other top brands but This seems like a winner to me.

Comment: I am very pleased with my purchase of the Dyson DC15 with the ball. If you are the type of person who loves when vacuums leave their mark as you sweep than this one is for you. The suction is terrific. The ball feature really does make this a easy to maneuver around items. But one of the best features is the ease with which you can empty the bag less chamber. I always hated emptying the bags in vacuums, with this vacuum my hands never get near the mess. I will forever be a Dyson customer. A good investment.

Comment: Well I have had this vacuum for a month and it seems to work great. The ball makes this a very maneuverable machine. The warranty is a bit short at 6-months since this is "factory-reconditioned", I would have expected at least 2yrs vs. a brand new one having 5yrs. It is a bit heavy for some people to lug up and down stairs. I really like that this is bagless and you can see when you need to empty it. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade the old vacuum.

Comment: I had this unit for a few months now. I am very happy with my reconditioned DC15.
Pros:
Cleans very well, Gets into corners and under furniture traditional vacs cant reach. Easy to maneuver.
Quiet- not half as loud as my old inexpensive Eureka.
Direct drive brush. No belts to wear and then replace.
Easy to clean canister.
Attachments are easy to use and store right on the main unit.

Cons:
Probably heavy to lift for women but not for men.

Comment: I loved this vacuum cleaner. It's the best vacuum I ever own. I was about to rip up the carpet in my house and replace it with wood floor but I changed my mind after I vacuumed the carpet with the DC15. My niece borrowed it to vacuum her apartment and almost didn't give it back. Now she put it on her Christmas wish-list. It just picks up everything. I have parrots in the house and the Dyson just sucks up all the feathers and seedlings they dropped on the carpet. It's the best product ever.
