Customer Rating: Summary: No real help Comment: This cervical roll was no real help. Not firm enough and it is longer than needed. Pretty much a waste of money on this one! Customer Rating: Summary: It's what the doctor ordered! Comment: I had a neck injury and I was suffering using just a regular pillow. The doc suggested this and I've been using it ever since. It supports your neck nicely while letting you use your regular pillow. Just slipped it in the pillowcase as per the instructions and I finally got a good night's sleep. True, it took a day or so to get used to it at first but the relief was quick and I can't sleep without it now. I travel with one whenever I go away. Definitely a great product and much cheaper here than paying what the therapist wanted to charge for the same thing. I tried one of those expensive fancier pillows and support contraptions and went right back to this one. Customer Rating: Summary: McKenzie Roll Comment: McKenzie® Cervical Roll Neck Support If anything the McKenzie roll was a bit too firm. But it is supposed to provide the natural curvature for the neck, relieve pressure on the discs, and can be slipped inside your standard pillow. I am going to order a second one to use when I'm in my recliner watching TV. A very good buy. Customer Rating: Summary: This worked for me Comment: I love this cervical roll. I realized finally that it was the way I was sleeping that has aggravated shoulder pain and once I started using this roll it helped me immensely to reduce that pain. It also helps prevent me from overextending my neck from side to side when I sleep thus cutting down on morning neck stiffness. I don't use it as recommended, I don't put it in a pillow case, I just use it loose as shown in the image. This way I can adjust it much easier as I turn from side to side, and even angle it in ways that suit my position.
My husband had used one just for neck pain and upper back pain and he didn't seem to think it helped his problem. So, it might not help all conditions, but it is a simple enough and inexpensive enough item to be worth a try. Customer Rating: Summary: Mckenzie, thank you for your support! Comment: After a neck injury almost two years ago, I still have to be careful how I move and especially how I sleep. I have found relief by forgoing my traditional pillow (when I sleep on my back) and instead using this cervical neck support. It keeps my cervical vertebrae in proper alignment (head facing up, not tilted forward) and I no longer wake up with an aching neck. When I sometimes sleep on my side, I use a regular pillow with the neck roll. Give this a try and I hope it helps!
