Have to stand close to fireplace to get remote to work otherwise product is nice. Would buy again if needed. This particular model has a grounded outlet for each remote receptacle unlike the old Sharper Image product which was ungrounded. Customer Rating: Summary: So Convenient!!! Comment: I use these for a light above my desk [the switch was one of those rollers and was hidden behind a chest] and for a small accent lamp. They work great. The battery is an odd size but you can find it in the camera / electronics section of any store, i.e. Target.
