Customer Rating: Summary: Great for kids! Comment: My daughter loves fresh strawberries but out of season they get pricey and go bad fast, especially the organic ones. Instead I give her these which she loves. And I enjoy having an organic choice to give her as a snack. Most of the competitors load their fruit flats with corn syrup. Stick with a healthy alternative and your kids will love these. We have tried the fruit rolls too but that tends to end up in a sticky mess. I find this size to be perfect to drop into a lunch box or hand out as a snack. Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent, fun for kids to eat Comment: These taste great, but we are not used to artificially flavored snacks.
My now two and 1/2 year old has been eating them for about a year. We also love Kettle Valley organic fruit, it may be a bit of a better value.
Certainly whole fruit is better, but these are great on the go. Customer Rating: Summary: Tasty and the price on amazon isn't bad Comment: The negative(ish) reviews make me wonder if I've had the same product as those folks. These bars taste great and have a perfectly acceptable fruit leather type texture. They are a little stickier than some (sticks the wrapper a bit and also a little to your fingers), but not so that it's an issue. I'm not really sure when any of the folks complaining about price went to buy a similar bar at a store. Even Trader Joe's charges at least half a dollar for such things and those aren't even organic.
I'm sure that the cost of the fruit is a fraction of what we pay for these things but the subscription price is pretty good at amazon compared to what most stores charge for this brand or any other. Customer Rating: Summary: Mediocre Comment: These are reasonably tasty, but the texture is the typical "leather" that makes it hard to bite and chew. I wouldn't recommend these for children under 4 years of age. Customer Rating: Summary: Mealy Comment: They're edible, but they've got that 1970's health food store kind of mealy stale taste. There are plenty of competing products which are tastier and still made of 100% natural organic ingredients with no added sugar. The manufacturer seems to have spent millions of bucks on an expensive and annoying marketing campaign which glosses over the fact that there are better, tastier options out there. Try the fruit leather from Trader Joe's, or the really good Clif Kids fruit ropes instead.
