Customer Reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Great soap to travel with Comment: This is a great product to travel with. The lavender smells really pure and you feel really clean after bathing. It can also be used to wash clothes in the hotel sink--the suds really rinse away. I would give it 5 stars, but it's a bit too dry to use on the face. For that, I use Cetaphil soap. It's such a hassle to travel with liquids these days. This is a great travel solution. Customer Rating: Summary: Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Pure-Castile Soap Comment: I love it! I made some laundry detergent using Dr. Bronner's Lavender Magic Pure-Castile Soap, Borax & Arm & Hammer Washing soap & it is wonderful. I grated the soap first & then ran it through my food preocessor to get finer granuals. It breaks down well in the washer. I will definatly buy this product again! Customer Rating: Summary: I must be weird. . . Comment: (my friends would likely agree with that)
This soap irritated my skin like you wouldn't believe. I know it's pure castile, and I know that's supposed to be as non-irritating as you can get. And normally I do not have easily-irritated skin. In fact, I can used all sorts of stuff that causes other people grief and not end up itchy or uncomfortable. But this soap made me itch in awkward places (chest, armpits, etc.), and I stopped using it after only three or four washes. Perhaps it's the essential oils in this soap, or maybe it's the lavender--I dunno. Lavender doesn't cause me grief usually.
Anyway--high marks for the scent, but the soap itself, no way, Jose. I won't be buying it again. Customer Rating: Summary: Great organic soap Comment: This soap lathers so well. It rinses off without residue. The smell is just wonderful if you like lavender. Very real natural lavender scent. It doesn't fall apart in the shower, although it is a little softer than regular soap. So don't leave it on a wet dish soap. Also it doesn't dry out your skin.
I love the fact that it is organic, from a reputable company and that is now fair trade.
I have very sensitive skin, and almost every soap, even natural soaps irritate me. But with this one I have not had that problem. I have been using for over a year now. I even use it on my 3 year old son with no problem.
I also use it for shaving my legs, bikini area and underarms with no irritation or bumps. It lathers well and it glides smoothly. I think the lavender helps my skin at shaving time. Customer Rating: Summary: Great bar of soap! Comment: My family and I have enjoyed Dr. Bonner's organic liquid soap for many years. When I noticed Amazon was selling Dr. Bronner's lavender bar soap (and I believe it had a sale price) I had to try it. I do love lavender and the soap is wonderful to my skin. Only problem, the bars 'go fast'.... is it the bar and the way it is created, or us using so often?
If you like lavender soaps, I think you will enjoy this bar of soap.
