You no longer need to squint in the glare of your outdoor spotlights; using only four AA batteries (not included) the 24 white LEDs provide soft ambient lighting for 35-40 hours of outdoor dining. The light is easy to install: simply wrap the flexible collar around the umbrella pole, position the two halves of the umbrella light around the pole, and snap the two halves together. Slide the light over the collar to complete the process. The light features a separate hanging attachment that allows it to be hung from other structures such as a camper, tent, or gazebo. This light is perfect for all of your lighting needs for relaxing in the outdoors with no electric outlet required. The fixture fits on 1-1/3-inch to 1-2/3-inch pole diameter, and uses four AA 1.5-volt batteries (not included).

Comment: We often sit outside on our deck and drink and this light comes in handy in summer. it doesn't attract attention for the neighbours and its bright enough to seem the table but not so much that its annoying. it attached to teh umbrella easily but i lost the rubber piece to hold it up so i used yarn.

Comment: I had high expectations when purchasing this item. When placing it on my umbrella poles it doesn't have the shine or light coming down as I had expected. I wouldn't buy it again, or give one as a gift. I was quite dissappointed.

Comment: I recently added an addition onto my deck and was able to add a outdoor table and umbrella. I searched around for lights and this one seemed the best value. We put it up and used it the first night! It works great for the price! The rubber piece to hold it up seems to slip everyone once in a while but overall worth it for the inexpensive cost. I would suggest this product.. In fact I have to a couple neighbors whom already had lights but bought this one instead! Thanks

Summary: Not a good solution, despite being cordless.
Comment: I wanted to something without any cords to get tangled that was small and easy to use. This round disc splits in half and you have to reassemble to the two halves around the umbrella pole. The problem is that you need to remove it to close the umbrella properly. Additionally as we all know LED lights can be very bright and provide harsh lighting. While LEDs may be fine for flashlights and such, they don't set the right mood for an calm night on the patio. I guess I'll have to look for a hard wired permanent solution.
