Customer Reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: BraBaby Comment: I bought this item from Bed,Bath and Beyond. It broke apart and ruined my very expensive bra. I tried it again, with an old cheap bra-thinking I had somehow done it incorrectly the first time, same thing happened. Both of my bra's were ruined. Waste of plastic! Customer Rating: Summary: Uesless item Comment: Waste of money. I could not figure out how to use it, then when I finally figured it out it got the bra all tangled Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect, if you want an excuse to buy new bras Comment: The BraBaby snagged the cups of my satin-cup bras, and caused the linings to bunch. I was able to fix the latter, though it's a time-consuming exercise I'm not anxious to repeat. I thought this would be the perfect solution to the problems I've had with other products for encasing bras in the washing machine (zippers that broke or caught on the bras; underwire "cages" that came unraveled; etc.) -- after all, I'm not going to have to repair a plastic case, now am I? However, I don't want to have to buy new bras all the time because they were ruined by the BraBaby. Terrible product; big disappointment. Customer Rating: Summary: Do not buy!! Destroys your bras!!! Comment: This is the worst invention I have ever tried!! It failed in everyway one can imagine. I bought the BraBaby and fed it a pretty satin bra with cute buttons down the center.
Here are the ways BraBaby destroyed my bra:
1st- The amount of space between the inner ball and the outer shell provided enough room for one of the cups to fold over on itself. The two layers of the Bra Baby rattling against both sides actually permanently pressed that crease into the bra.
2nd- The seams on the edges of the plastic are slightly sharp and rough, which snagged my smooth satin like I dragged it across velcro.
3rd- The holes are big enough for buttons and other embellishments to poke out and be severed off by the the sharp/rough edges of the BraBaby itself.
4th- There is nothing to keep the bra straps and band tucked into the inner ball, so of course, during the wash, they come out and pass through the way-too-large-holes on the outside, then become tangled and stretched in the wash.
On top of it eating my bra, the thing is annoying to use! I'm only a 32C cup and my underwire cups don't fit well into the thing. I have a hard time getting it past the tumbler in my washing machine just to put it in there. The darn thing is noisy in the washer & dryer.
I was offered a refund from the store for this peice of garbage, and I hear I'm not the first person to complain about this thing. I'd like to see it removed from the shelves. I still feel I'm owed for my new bra that BraBaby destroyed! Customer Rating: Summary: Easier by hand! Comment: Unlike some, my Brababy hasn't broke (yet), but it is a hassle to use! The plastic it's made out of is very flimsy. Underwires are a chore to keep inside while you're closing the apparatus up. (If you're bigger than a D cup, forget using the Brababy) The straps usually stay hooked inside the inner ball, no problems there. It does take up alot of room in the washer, so don't put too many clothes in with it. I think I'll just go back to washing my bras by hand; much easier (as it usually takes me 5 minutes to get the bra inside the Brababy!)
