Summary: Takes the edge off
Comment: This is an amazing product. I have an extremely stressful job and a co-worker recommended Calms to me. I do not take it as a sleep aid, but I have found Calms Forte to be a great help to remove that anxious, stressed-out, overwhelmed feeling and make it possible to just stay focused and get the job done without freaking out about it. I have noticed no side effects or wierd feelings, only that I feel more centered and have more of a sense of order and even a sense of humor about things, even in the midst of relative pandamonium. Its effect is subtle but extremely effective. Highly recommended!

Summary: I have to use 3 tablets ...
Comment: When I tried only 1 or 2 tablets, it didn't work -- I didn't fall asleep. When I used 3, it actually DOES work.

My mind is rather active - especially at bedtime. I have a million things rushing through it and I find it difficult to fall asleep. I have used regular over-the-counter sleeping pills and have found that I only need 1/4 of a tablet of those to help me fall asleep. The problem is the hangover the next morning -- even with only a fourth of a tablet! I don't have a hangover if I take it by 9:00 and expect to have to get up at 6:00, but if I take it around 10:00 or later, I'm in for big trouble the next morning.

I like that these aren't habit forming and they work. It's true, I have to take 3, but I would rather that than habit forming or hangover! If I wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep, I take 3 more. It works for me and I haven't noticed any trouble. I don't have any difficulty even if I have to wake up 3 hours later. I'd rather fall asleep again for 3 more hours than lie awake tossing and turning.

This is just my experience in case it might help someone else.

Summary: May Be Effective
Comment: Calms Forte seems to offer more than a placebo effect, but I wouldn't go so far as to give it a five-star rating. I've experimented with numerous prescription sleep aids, including Ambien, Lunesta, Trazodone, as well as other medications such as higher doses of Diphenhydramine (i.e. Benadryl). All have been effective for at least some period of time.

I am familiar with some of the ingredients in Calms Forte. Passiflora is a mild sedative, and I've had some success with it in the past when trying to go the natural route. There have been a couple of occasions where I've awoken in the wee hours of the morning, unable to fall back asleep. Taking six Calms Forte pills (2x the indicated dose) seemed to help me fall back asleep within a half hour.

While I can't give it the rave reviews that some others have given, I would argue that its effects are more than placebo-related. I'm a skeptic when it comes to any type of remedies, so often times, the remedies simply don't work for me. Calms Forte seems to have some mild effects at a higher dose, but doesn't rival the sleep-inducing properties of the common pharmaceutical solutions.

My recommendation is to give it a try, especially if you're seeking a natural solution. Combined with lowered caffeine intake, balanced diet, and exercise, it may be effective. If it's not effective, you've only spent a few dollars. It's worth a try.

Summary: Former Insomniac
Comment: Insomnia and intense anxiety have always been a problem for me at night. The nervous anxiety has caused loss of sleep, which then would exacerbate the anxiety. It was a vicious cycle. I tried these after purchasing them at a natural foods store. The result was amazing! I haven't ever experienced the "hangover" effect or any other negative effect. I wake feeling well rested and peaceful. I also have had nights with less than 2 hours sleep because of my job and still no hangover effect.
Many of my family members have tried these as well and they have experienced equal success.
The Calms Forte probably will not "knock you out", so if this is the effect you need, I wouldn't recommend it. It has natural ingredients, not harsh ones like you find in other sleep aids. I experience a peaceful, relaxed feeling. My mind feels settled well enough to get a good night's rest.
I highly recommend this product for children, as well as adults.
