Customer Rating: Summary: More comfortable than most Comment: I just tore a bunch of ligaments in my ankle and will need to keep it braced for awhile.
We picked up a neoprene brace at the store and I tried it on as soon as I got home. It was way to tight for my size 13's and just all around uncomfortable. On top of that It felt more like my ankle was just wrapped tight but not really supported.
The Futuro has a slightly more adjustable design and it also features the side splints that add some welcome support. They're not steel so don't expect your ankle to be immobilized but they seem to be made of a flexible plastic so it feels like a nice balance.
If you've got big feet and some swelling they may still be a bit tight, I was able to adjust them to where the velcro on the lower straps was just barely hanging on and that worked out. Now that the swelling has gone down they fit nicely.
The upper strap is very long and adjustable so even those with big calves shouldn't have any issues here.
I also notice that my foot doesn't sweat in this brace, in the neoprene brace this was not the case and it would get soggy relatively quickly.
The 2 pack from Amazon actually saved me about 4 bucks over buying 2 from the store.
Good buy. Customer Rating: Summary: Ankle brace that supports! Who'd have thought? Comment: I finally admitted I had a problem after my third collapse. Third collapse of my left ankle, that is. I'm a fairly active person, and rolling my ankle while playing sports is one of the worst things ever. Doesn't really hurt that badly, but it makes me a gimp with a limp for at least 4 days. After I started wearing one of these, I noticed an immediate improvement. I can launch off my left ankle without even the slightest worry that it might give away. The brace itself is very comfortable, and I forget I'm wearing it almost immediately. The only adjustment I've made is that I wear long athletic socks with my low cut cleats to keep the brace from digging into my skin. A++ Customer Rating: Summary: It works Comment: I'm pleased with this it really helps my ankle not to turn in when walking. Customer Rating: Summary: Easy and Great support! Comment: This support is for my wife who has MS. She has a regular brace that she wears when we go out but just for home she just wanted some thing easy she didn't have to wear a shoe with. The Futuro support gives that to her and is easy for her to put on because her hands don't work to well the velcro straps make it an ease. The strong stabilizers are a great plus too! They support and keep her ankle in place. We will be buying more. Customer Rating: Summary: Good! Comment: Feels great and easy to use. I have nothing to worry when using it during my vollyball game with my ankle hurt seriously before!
