Summary: best mild cleanser for anyone Comment: I have been using this stuff for years. It's expensive in the grocery store, but online and in various stores, you can get a pretty good deal. I first tried it after becoming frustrated with Clinique's three step (and too many other products to count before that). My skin was very oily and acne prone. But with using this cleanser, I have found that much of the acne was from irritation. And much of the oil was due to removing too much oil with cleansers. Now I use just this, twice a day followed by a light moisturizer, and basically my skin is quite nice as long as I am consistent with my skin care regiment. If you are frustrated with trying everything for your problematic skin, this product is really worth a shot. Customer Rating: Summary: great cleanser at a great price Comment: My dermatologist recommended Cetaphil to me several years ago and I've been happy with it ever since. Customer Rating: Summary: The best sensitive skin cleanser Comment: I've tried so many over-the-counter products and products with bizarre ingredients. This is simply the best gentle cleanser on the market. Anytime there's a "best of" skin cleansing segment in the media, cetaphil is always included. I have very dry skin and eczema outbreaks and this works so wonderfully. I've used proactive, clinique, kiels, and many more. This is highly recommended. Customer Rating: Summary: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser Comment: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is one of my favorite cleansers. I love it because when I wash my face with it, my eye make-up comes off without irritating my eyes. I also like the fact that it's unscented. Customer Rating: Summary: Looks Like Mucus, But It's Not. Comment: My fiancée is fastidious about personal grooming and takes particular care with her facial and upper body skin. At times in the past she experienced minor blemishes and a dermatologist recommended using the Cetaphil cleansing bar. She claims that it does an excellent job and she wouldn't be without it. Not too long ago, we were shopping in our local warehouse club and ran into a display of "Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser" (for all skin types) in a lotion form in 20-ounce bottles. We picked up a couple after determining that it was the same product as the bar. We both prefer the liquid cleansers to the solid bars, if available. She has been very satisfied with this product. It wasn't long before her eagle eyes focused in on my facial and neck skin. I've never had major skin problems, even as a teenager, but I experience a zit now and then and careful inspection will reveal a few blackheads here and there and a somewhat oily skin. Well, this simply wouldn't do. It wasn't long before I was washing my face and neck/shoulders with the liquid Cetaphil Cleanser. Has it improved my condition? To be honest, I can't really tell. She claims I'm looking better so I continue applying it when she's around. I'm somewhat skeptical, and I don't particularly care for using it. It doesn't lather well, for example. I greatly prefer a few other products in this regard. Also, it looks somewhat like mucus. It's not, of course, but they could surely come up with a better-looking product. It has no particular odor, and I'll give it credit here. I've had no negative reactions to it of any kind, but I've never reacted to any cleaner. So, this is a product that is difficult for me to rate. I'd say it was marginally effective and give it three stars, whereas she would unquestionably praise it and give five stars. Perhaps we might both be correct in that we may be reacting differently as individuals. Let's go with four stars. Gary Peterson Related Items
