Colgate quietly snapped up Tom's of Maine in 2006...It will be just a matter of time when all the large corporations that are slowly and knowingly poisoning us will buy up all the good healthy businesses..Unfortunately money talks no matter what...Shame!
Colgate Palmolive bought out Iam's pet food..Thats why you can find Iam's at all major department stores now and not just pet stores and vets..They took out all the good ingredients and put in junk!!!!
Dr Jane Bick's ( Holistic Vet and Co-formulater of iams) LEFT and started her own pet food line!
Many of the healthy lines of food are actually owned by the Big corps..I was shocked when I read the list...I don't trust them!

Summary: All Natural ...Fresh and Clean Feeling
Comment: Tom's Of Maine has a wide variety of toothpaste all made from Natural ingredients with various healthful benefits that all keep your mouth fresh, clean and healthy. This one, Peppermint flavored, with baking soda and calcium is great for clean teeth and uses fluoride to help in preventing cavities. Other ingredients included are water, glycerin,carageenan,xylitol,sodium laurel sulfate(from coconut oil). The box lists the purpose and source of each one. For example Carrageenan is a thickener and it's source is seaweed.

The peppermint taste is very refreshing and leaves my mouth clean and fresh feeling even between meals.It uses only a mild abrasive(calcium carbonate) and this one is accepted by the ADA for helping to prevent tooth decay. I rotate this one with Tom's Tom's of Maine - Toothpaste Propol-Myrrh-Fennel, 6 oz toothpaste(kind of tastes like a purple spice drop - see my review for details), which, for those that prefer a non-fluoride toothpaste is great at preventing plaque build-up, but does not last quite as long as this peppermint one as far as freshness goes.

Tom's of Maine has been around since 1970 and uses no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. A great way and natural way to keep your mouth healthy and fresh. This product may also be purchased in a single tube Tom's of Maine - Anticavity Baking Soda Peppermint, 6 oz toothpasteif you just want to try it out, but you'll miss out on the shipping deal.
