Summary: great shaver but bad Cleaning System
Comment: I have had this razor for 6 months now and it works great but just after 2 months my Cleaning/Charging system broke and leaked the oil all over by bedroom. If it wasnt for the crappy cleaner I would rate this razor 4 stars but it only gets a 3.

Summary: Great Shaver
Comment: I've used this shaver for two years now and I judge it the best electric shaver I've ever used. The self cleaning mechanism works wonderfully and even lubricates it automatically. The enemy of a good shave with an electric razor is oil and other build-up in the shaver heads. What I like most about this shaver is how convenient it is to keep it clean, which in turn keeps the razor's shaving ability "like new."

Just as an FYI, *all* electric shavers shave less close than a good blade, and all electric shavers will cause a bit of skin burn for the first week or so of use until one's face has time to get used to the system.

Summary: Poor Design
Comment: The shave is not nearly as close as their competitor's with very similar design, and it does leave more of a burn than the competitor. I had one of these for 20 months, and had to have the cleaning system replaced 4 times under warranty! The pump just quits and the system doesn't work after 5 or 6 months. The last time, they replaced the entire thing, including the shaver, with a new (more expensive) model R-1000. They don't seem to have learned anything from the previous design, and the angle of the head on this new one makes it nearly impossible to use. The switch is located right where my thumb rests, so I inadvertently turn it off frequently in mid-shave. I'm going back to the other guys!

Summary: Close but no razor
Comment: This seems to work well if my boyfriend grows longer stubble but for a shave that is a touch up, it doesn't get as close as a razor. Also, it tends to leave a bit of a rash/burn on his neck which has never happened before. Overall, he is happy with it and we like that it is self-cleaning.

Comment: I bought this item for my Husband as a Christmas gift; and this is what he thinks of it.
From the 1st time use to the 15th time, it takes too long to shave, it feels like I have razor burn after every shave. Facial hair comes back ALOT quicker, about 8 hours and it's like I haven't shaved that day. I would not recommend this product to my friends.
