An epilator isn't a shaver in the traditional sense. An epilator pulls hair out at root level and is effective for nearly 4 weeks. It's sort of like electrolysis but is safer and can be done in the comfort of your home. It's as effective as waxing but can be used on parts of their body where waxing might be impractical. Braun 5270 Silk Epil X`elle Body System is faster and more efficient than other epilators. It's both comfortable and practical to use.

Summary: Not For Me but Obviously For Others...
Comment: I have thin blond hairs on my legs. I tried this and it hurt quite a lot and it didn't remove very well at all.(I had to run it over the same area on my leg several times and even then it was not completely smooth). On top of that, i got the most horrid red bumps on the areas i used this product on, which was thankfully remedied with severe globs of jergens lotion. I think this works best on people with thicker hair maybe? because then the device can really grab the hairs. Anyway, you will be pleased to know that I returned it and got a refund (at least i was). Comment: Works great, removes very short hairs. The only problem is I got a couple of ingrown hairs afterwards on my legs. It also can occasionally break a hair off, but it's easy to go over spots you missed.

Summary: ouch!
Comment: I have very coarse, fast growing hair on my legs and have to shave every day. Getting sick of doing it every day I thought I'd try this technique. Thought about waxing but went this route. I did my homework on which ones were reviewed as the best and bought this one. OH...MY...GOD!!! This thing really does the job it's supposed to do, but I couldn't force myself to finish the job from the pain. The little strips that I could get done all the way looked great, but there was just too much pain. There was no way I could finish the lower leg let alone move to the more sensitive areas like the upper thigh or bikini line. I suppose it's not the machine itself's fault, but I don't think I'll be using it again. Like I said it does the job it's supposed to do but if you can't handle the pain, save the $70.

Summary: Expect ingrown hairs!!!
Comment: Ok, I've used this for months now and I can say it can really take a lot of hair off easily...BUT I've had horrible ingrown hairs and I hate them so much! I used the epilator to smoothen out my skin making it hairless and flawless... my hair legs are just thin and after I've used this for the first time.. guess what? my thin hair just turned into thick coarse hair! I have no choice but continue to use it since I can't stand the thick hair on my legs...but what I hate most is the ingrown hairs that bumps on my skin which is so itchy and irritating! I am now looking for a better hair remover... I'll say no to epilating if all epilators would cause this!

Summary: Very Very PAINFUL-please save yourself
Comment: I can take a lot of pain, I have plucked my leg hairs and my mustache with a tweezer but this "braun epilator" was a whole new level of pain. As painful as waxing, but more direct pain. I do not think this amount of pain is worth being able to supposedley not shave in "1 week". It doesnt even get that close and it misses hairs. And i cannot imagine putting this on my bikini line. The rollers go so fast, that i felt like a was going to give myself an electric shock. Girls, this is not worth the money. As much as i wanted this to work, it is too painful for live humans, for cadavers it might work ok.
Dont waste your money like i did. No epilators work well, unless you can deal with extreme levels of physical pain.
