Customer Rating: Summary: ouch Comment: i got this as an experiment in body hair. Ouch it gets easier after the first time but it still hurts. this is designed for fine womans hair, but i tried it with mine and it was nice not having to shave certain places for a week, but it is not worth the pain. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Shaving Experience Comment: This product is simply awesome, I gifted it to my wife & she just loves it, for someone who is used to epilators & knows how to operate them, its a great product, certainly "soft" as the name suggests, all the attachments work just perfect..!!! The twin speeds are another addition. Customer Rating: Summary: Very effective and easy to maintain.. a guy's perspective Comment: I am coming out into the light of day as a GUY who bought this for personal use. Lots of guy try different hair removal methods and TEND to stick to shaving.. (hey! it's what we know best!) But eventually, some explore other options.
Even though it's purple and comes in a "cute" satin pouch, make no mistake, this is a serious product! For "guy" use, I REALLY recommend (i.e. insist!) that you use clippers / and or actually shave the area first. Long body hair DOES pull, fail to remove, and just cause excruciating pain. However, shorter hair (i.e. clippered, or growing back in from shaving) actually comes out much more effectively. This method is NOT for the squeamish though, and there are certain areas that I just can't manage to tolerate at all (chest, underarm area, upper thighs, and feet).. but arms, lower legs and back (with assistance of course!) were actually tolerable. I am TRULY not sure how women tolerate this device in the bikini area or sensitive parts of the body.
That said, expect some ingrown hairs and blotchy redness (and pain during removal of course) in the area the first time or two that you use the product. It is VERY time consuming at the beginning, but maintenance is easy and less likely to give you cuts and nicks like shaving. Some areas (knees, back of calfs, underside of lower arm, back) can be tricky to get to, but I think having your partner or a trusted friend help out would alleviate this problem. Cleaning is remarkably easy because of the removable head, although, I find that putting a little hand soap and a few drops of water in your hand, then turning it on and letting the head rotate in the soap mixture for 10 - 15 seconsds so that it can "mix up" the soap and thoroughly clean the blades is MUCH faster than trying to clean and hand rotate the blades. Because most of the mechanism is hard plastic directly under the head, I was not worried about damage or corrosion, but you ARE using an electric device near water, so use caution! All in all, I like it.. makes tanning easier, shows definition more clearly if you are working out, and isn't as harsh to the skin as chemical hair removers. Customer Rating: Summary: good product Comment: My case is dark, fast grown hairs. I used old version of Braun for a long period in Europe. And was very glad. Here I should find new. I've tried some popular epilators with modern painless feature. But they just break hairs and my legs were not smooth after using. This product is excellent for me. It removes hairs very good for epilator. Customer Rating: Summary: Equilator Comment: This is the first time ive used a equilator. Got to tell you it hurt the first few times and it irritated my skin a little to. Ive realized the more I use it the less it hurts. Just like plucking your eyebrows where it hurt the first few times but after that it doesnt really. And now my skin doesnt get irritated. I use it to shave about everything and its very effective. I dont have to shave very often and each time the hair grows back there is less of it and its thinner. I highly recommend it and want to remind everyone it is a process each time you use it.
