Editorial Review:
Are you ready to go camping this summer and are you tired of reaching for your flashlight only
to find that the batteries are dead? The Kaito Dynamo/Crank flashlight is the answer to your
problem! It features 5 super bright white LEDs, each is rated at 15,000 MCD, so it's about
20 times brighter than the hand shake type or squeeze type and 4 times brighter than those 3-LED
flashlight you will find elsewhere. Better yet, you never need to replace batteries or bulbs, its patented
alternator can generate 1,500 mAH compared with 30-50 mAH a handshake type or 60-80 mAH by a
squeeze type, which means it's 20 times more efficient when it comes to charging the internal battery,
the flashlight can last 30 minutes if cranked for 1 minute. The life time of these LED bulbs are rated at
80,000 hours. This LED flashlight is also water resistant so it's perfect for outdoors use, simply keep it in you car,
RV and your emergency kit. So stop wasting money on batteries and bulbs and get the last flashlight you'll ever need!
Customer Reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Does not hold charge... Never heard back from vendor for return Comment: After cranking for 1 minute, the light stayed on for less than 30 seconds.
GARBAGE... you get what you pay for. Not even worth the time to pursue a return after trying once. Customer Rating: Summary: Cheap = poor quality Comment: Save your money and buy a quality product!
We thought we would try this rechargeable flashlight based on the positive review of others, we ordered 2, both were defective. On the first light, we used 1 minute of cranking that provided less than 15 seconds of lite, not 30 minutes. The LEDs are bright but look quick before they fade !!
On the second, no amount of cranking would provide light. Guess we learned, buy cheap, get a cheap product.
Save your money and buy a quality product! Customer Rating: Summary: Bright light but must hold switch. Comment: Received flashlight and cranked it up. Very good, bright light but only has a push button for a switch. Push it down you got light, release and no light. I don't know if it is a bad switch or a feature. I would recommend purchasing a different flashlight. Customer Rating: Summary: A surprisingly good rechargeable flashlight! Comment: I was skeptical after being disappointed with a flashlight that you shake to charge. But, this is a great product. It produces a lot of light with minimal effort, & the battery actually holds the charge for weeks. Too bulky to carry in a pocket, but that's a small disadvantage. Instructions warn to keep it at room temperature, so that rules out storage in my car. Save the shipping label; the product packaging has no warranty information, so your 1 year warranty won't be of value if you don't know where to ship it, should it fail. Customer Rating: Summary: does the job... nice quality Comment: a brighter light than i expected. frankly, i wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and a regular battery powered flashlight of similar size based on the light amount. turning the crank handle is easy enough for pretty much anybody even for little kids or if you have bad arthritis. the finish is actually really nice, feels really well made, has the build quality of something a lot more expensive than it is. might have preferred more of a rubberized (non-slip) surface, but not a big deal. highly recommended to keep around as an emergency if you aren't using a flashlight too often. better than keeping spare D batteries around (this flashlight is probably cheaper than a few sets of D's btw) or keeping the batteries in a regular flashlight and worrying about battery leakage. don't know about longevity yet since i got it recently.
