Customer Rating: Summary: Great bags Comment: I've been on auto-delivery for some time now. The bags are fairly strong and the price is great. Also a plus in helping our environment. Customer Rating: Summary: Recycled Goodness Comment: Seventh Generation Trash Bags, 30 Gallon / B000C7QZC8
I love these bags. They aren't as strong as the Hefty bags I switched from, but I don't feel as guilty on trash day - I'd rather use recycled plastic bags than regular ones. I use these in my big garage trash can and, really, they aren't THAT flimsy - I don't want to make them sound like anything more than a tissue will tear it. They can handle regular weekly loads, you just can't drag them over broken glass on the way to the curb - usually I will dump all my house trash into the garage trash can, carry the can to the curb, and only then knot the trash bag, pull it out, and lay it gently down for pickup. As always, I had no problems with Amazon packing and shipping - they seem to have it down to an artform now. Customer Rating: Summary: Great way to do something small to help the environment Comment: In the past year I have tried to really start being more environmentally conscious. While I have always recycled, I would also regularly waste energy. When I decided to really start buying more recycled products, I was always happy with myself knowing I was doing my part to help the earth, but at the same time it was hurting my wallet. If anyone reading this is in the same situation I was, DEFINITELY get these trash bags! I purchased the box and just keep all the extras in a storage unit in my building. It makes buying green wayyyy more affordable. As for what another reviewer wrote, I have not had any problems with any of my Seventh Generation products, whether I bought them from Amazon or in the stores. They have always been high quality and provided me the same results as their not so environmentally friendly competitors would have. Customer Rating: Summary: The bags seem OK, but the boxes were coming apart Comment: The bags are ok, not the strongest and a little smaller than other brands marked as the same gallon size, but they hold up pretty well. I don't know if it's worth the extra money, except that it helps the environment. I unpacked the 12 boxes from the shipping box, and about 1/2 of boxes that hold the trash bags were torn and/or coming apart, as if they had been wet on the bottom. I had to start taping up the boxes to keep all the trash bags inside, or pull them out of the boxes that were totally destroyed. So beside the additional money, I spent time and money on repairing the storage boxes and bags to put the bags in. For me, it's not worth it and I wouldn't buy them again. I like the idea of doing something to help the environment but, it's just too much work. Maybe if the bags were exceptionally good, but they are just average.
