Summary: This item DOES NOT work!
Comment: The description of this item is too vague owing to the fact that now I know I need a VGA video card on my computer. I purchased this item in hopes of connecting my wife's laptop to her TV but it totally failed! I even tried my Dell tower with the same result. The seller needs to clarify the fact that this item only works if combined with a VGA video card.

Comment: It's amazing to read how people just buy an item and blame the product or seller when they are the one's to blame.

It will work with VGA cards that has TV-Out function capability through the VGA connector.
Check your Video Card manual or manufacturer to make sure that your VGA card has TV-Out function capability.

IMPORTANT: THIS ADAPTER WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT CONVERT AN S-VIDEO OR COMPOSITE VIDEO SIGNAL TO VGA. YOU CAN NOT USE IT TO DRIVE A VGA COMPUTER MONITOR WITH A CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SOURCE DEVICES SUCH AS A DVD PLAYER OR VCR.

Hoefully more people will read this and get it right... MAYBE !

Remember: Only because it fits does not mean it will work. You always have to check your manuals or ask sellers before you buy. Let them know what model number video card you have. Most know or you can always google the information regarding your video card model.

Comment: Wish I would have read the reviews before wasting money on it. Tried on multiple PCs using different video cards, different OS. Never got even a slight picture.
