Comment: In Nov 05 I went home to visit my parents who still live in Germany and while visiting my son (now 15) and my husband both got really sick (I think it was the change in climate - we live in Alaska where it's a dry cold but Germany has a wet cold). Both of them were coughing their heads off.

My mother (bless her heart) suggested a "Tymianbad". The translation is thyme-bath and what it is is the powder of this wonderful little packet added to the bath water while the bath is drawn. Then the affected person would stay in the bath water for at least 15 minutes. After the bath the person needs to go straight to bed and get some rest.
So my mother made both my husband and my son take a Tymianbad. My son went to bed and as soon as his head hit the pillow he was out - sound asleep! He sounded a lot better the next day, meaning the cough was getting better. He had another bath that evening and he was almost as good as new the following day. My husband on the other hand had been resisting the notion of having to take another one of the Thyme baths and even though he sounded better after the first he took a whole lot longer to get rid of his nasty cold than my son.
So, two thumbs up for the tyme bath mix! :)
