Editorial Review:
Get more hookup flexibility for your digital components with this versatile, high quality Digital Optical Selector Switch. This 3-Way Digital Optical Selector Switch lets you connect up to three different optical digital components to a component with only one optical digital input. The selector allows you to switch from one component to another just by turning the selector dial no more disconnecting and connecting cables or moving equipment around. You can play any of the three components you connect and enjoy the output through your home theater system. There are four optical digital jacks. The output jack connects to the main unit to which you would like to expand the number of optical jacks (normally a digital audio/video receiver/amplifier). The three input jacks connect to the source devices and allow you to output digital audio to your main unit. Switch easily between sources instead of disconnecting and reconnecting cables when needing to change inputs. The compact design will fit in tight areas between components. Works with the following digital audio components: home/portable digital audio components with optical connection, MP3/CD/DVD player including Blu-ray/HD DVD, video game consoles (PS3/XBOX360), computer sound card, cable/satellite receiver to your home theater system with a digital optical input. Operation: To hear your connected sources through your home theater system, turn on your home theater system and the audio source you want to hear. Then, press in the lock release button on the selectors dial and rotate the dial to the indicator corresponding with the source you want (1,2, or 3). A green indicator shows which of the three units is selected (only one can be selected at a time). Release the button to lock the selector in place. The sound from the selected source comes through your home entertainment systems speakers.

Summary: Work for PS3 and TV outputs
Comment: I don't know what kind of folks keep saying that this thing doesn't work but they're full of it. It works fine on my PS3 and my Samsung TV's outputs. I bought mine from along with 2 of these cheap cables from the same seller and it all works PERFECT.

I spent a total of $21 shipped including the cables from the seller Gadget Dweeb and it was the best price out there since everyone else charges an arm and a leg for shipping. http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/seller/at-a-glance.html?ie=UTF8&isAmazonFulfilled=0&orderID=105-3197471-1537046&marketplaceSeller=1&seller=A1MFU1H74X0UEH

Summary: Great Value and Very Convenient!
Comment: Great Value and Very Convenient!

This is a great product. The item arrived super fast and was super easy to hook up. And i have had some bad experiences with sort of product before. But it works great to hook up my DVD, XBOX 360, and PS2 to my reciever so i can watch movies and play games all in 5.1 surround.

The only thing i don't like about the product is its' design. It can take up a lot of space, and it just looks weird sitting on top of my receiver. I will it was more like a front panel box and everything plugged into the back. But changing the design would include adding a pc-chip, and then your price skyrockets!

For what this is, what it does, and how it functions, i would give it an A-.

Summary: Digital Audio Optical 3 link
Comment: The Toslink digital Optical 3 link was recieved via regualr mail, in a yellow medium .99 mailer. The only protection was that of the small bubble wrap in the orginial box. Looked new, I was worried that it might have been handled roughly, during shipping as it was not packed as should have been for the way it was built. For the cost of the shipping it should have been better. Item does work, but time will tell. I have it conencted to my Direct Tv, Toshiba HD DvD, Playstaion 3 and my Toshiba reciever to the DvD Optical side. No instructions, you have to snap each cable into the switchbox until you here a small click. Be careful, as the optical cables have to go in a certain way. The switchbox is not heavy, in order to switch you have to hold the device and turn the knob. For the price, not a big deal, 101 percent cheaper than buying a new reciver with three optical inputs. I have ony two on mine.
Again item is great, shipping/packaging can be improved...

Summary: Works ok for me
Comment: I haven't had any problems with it so far. Kinda cool how it's built even if it's on the cheap side. The pics make it look like aluminum but it's all plastic. Like we could get something billet like this for $20. I had one minor glitch the first time I fired it up but not sure if was this device or from the input side, but it has worked just fine at passing a signal since that time. Don't let the latch slam but let it glide into place. Another post mentioned turning on power to the cd/dvd/game device after selecting the new position. While I haven't had a problem switching this device with an input applied, it's probably not a bad idea. It's not going to make a difference with this component but maybe the device receiving the passed signal won't recognise it. The output side is permanently mounted but the fiber input side must be a piece of fiber and a connector that just rotates with the turret and then locks into place. Pretty simple stuff but I don't know how long it'll last. Stuff breaks dontcha know. Good enough for now. One thing I noticed while reviewing this device is that different pictures come up. The one I received was triangular in shape with a bluish/purple turret. The other pic is of a device almost square with the turret being the same color. Not positive on which one you'll get. Cheers.
