Summary: HOLY CRAP!
Comment: I have never had a regular period in my life. In fact, I cycle twice a year on my own. I started Vitex two and a half weeks ago and started my period yesterday. It could be a coincidence, but I doubt it considering I cycled last 4 months ago, so this is definitely early for me. Not only that, but I was cramping very severely on my left side exactly two weeks ago, so I think I ovulated too! YAY for VITEX!

It took a great deal of pain and research to finally realize that the very severe postpartum depression I was going through was being fueled by this herbal supplement. I found out that anyone that has a history of depression or who is currently suffering from any type of depression or anxiety disorder should not be taking this product. I already had mild postpartum depression and within a month after taking this supplement I began spiraling out of control into a very dark place. I think they should put warnings on this product. I think this drug really IS a wonder-drug for some people and I hope that it is for all of you, but for me it was a dangerous game of Russian roulette with the chemicals in my brain. Anyway, I wanted to post this update so that if you begin taking this product and suffering depression or anxiety you will hopefully make the connection to Vitex and not think they are unrelated like I did for several weeks. Summary: So far it works!
Comment: All my life I have had a widely irregular cycle. Months would go by and nothing. Doctor mentioned and I started one cycle of Clomid. After stopping months later I found this... After a month of use I am ovulating. Of course its too soon to tell if it will be regular. Im actually excited for next month. LOL. I am hoping that I can pinpoint ovulation FINALLY and conceive.

Summary: Something is working!!
Comment: I bought this product in May of 2008, and I must say that my last menstrual cycle was a lot lighter than before!!!!! I just need to keep in mind that I've only used it for one month and I need to keep this up. I haven't concieved yet, but I know it's coming!!!! Good luck with all the other women out there that are on this product!

Summary: It worked wonders for me
Comment: In November of 2007 I was diagnosed with a hormonal imbalance. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for almost 2 years with no luck. I had several blood tests that showed I was not ovulating and I was producing way too much prolactin (hormone primarily associated with lactation). I've never been pregnant or nursed a child so something was definitely wrong. My doctor recommended that I see a specialist. At the time I really couldn't afford to see another doctor. I went online and researched hormonal imbalances and natural cures. I came across vitex and it sounded like it would work for me. After 3 months on vitex, I had shorter periods, almost no PMS, and I was ovulating. I also noticed that I wasn't as emotional as I used to be; I had a much happier outlook. I still haven't conceived yet but I'm sure that will happen soon enough. This product has worked wonders for me and it's much more affordable than a doctor visit.

Summary: It works!
Comment: I had serious problems with my period. It had become very frequent with much spotting. I was suffering! A friend of mine who works for a pharmacist in Germany suggested I try this herb. In Germany, herbs such as Vitex have been studied and used by the medical establishment extensively.
I started to take Vitex and within 2 months my period became regular and many of the negative side effects of PMS were eliminated.

I stopped taking it and after three months of not taking it my period started to get irregular again and some of the negative side effects of PMS started to return, so I am going right back on this stuff.

This stuff works. Germany is way ahead of America on the use of herbs and studies show that this is one herb that really does help!!
