Editorial Review:
Director Roger Young (JOSEPH AND JESUS) presents this dramatic television miniseries that recounts the life of Paul (Johannes Brandrup) the Apostle of Jesus Christ. Originally known as Paul of Tarsus, Paul tortured and persecuted Christians until he experienced a vision of Jesus that forever changed his life. After converting to Christianity, Paul suffered persecution and imprisonment, but never stopped trying to spread the teachings of Christ. Notably, this program was shot on location in the Moroccan desert.

Customer Rating: Summary: Paul the Apostle Comment: The video is excellent and help you to undersatand the history of Paul the apostle
I am a Christian and I enjoyed watching this movie. I loved the script because it showed the way the apostles might have deal with each other as they hashed out
I recommend the movie to any one who likes religious movies and anyone who wants to learn from the Saints experience.
This is San Paul year
Customer Rating: Summary: Paul and his life and work Comment: I purchased this video for a course I teach at Stillman College entitled "The Life and Works of Paul". My students loved the movie. It was too long for a 50 minute class so we watched it over two class periods and still didn't see the end of the movie.
Yet the content was very educational and entertaining. It kept my students attention, a feat that's not easy. Thank you.
Dr. Bass Customer Rating: Summary: Bad Bad movie Comment: Do not waste your money on this video. This movie is far from the truth of God's Word. It has a seen where the men are in something like a spa and you could see their buttocks my daughter was watching the movie with me and I had to forward it. I tried to look at it a little longer but it was so far fron the truth of the bible that i took it out and threw it in the trash. Thats what i think about the movie, trash. IF I could have given it a 0 star i would have. I feel you should make themovi accurate or don't make it at all. This is just satans way of twisting the word of god again. Customer Rating: Summary: Say WHAT???? Comment: It purports to be the life of Paul the apostle. It opens with him involved in a loin-cloth wrestling match with a priest. The Pharisees were called that because they "separated" themselves from the Hellenism being forced upon the Jews by their Gentile rulers. The point is that Saul would never have been involved in Greco-Roman wrestling. PERIOD.
Then we have the two men (Saul and the Priest, Reuben - a totally extra-biblical fictitious character) shown being washed down in the nude in a Roman style bath house. Again, the Torah, which Saul adhered to religiously, condemned in the strongest possible terms looking upon the nakedness of another man.
Reuben is shown being the one that pushes Saul into destroying the church. Again, the text of scripture doesn't matter, for their it is PAUL that says that he laid waste of the church and breathed out threatenings and slaughter against the church.
The movie shows Barnabas "sprinkling" Paul - not baptizing (immersing) him, when the Text of Scripture says it was Ananias that did it.
Their is no mention of Mark or his turning back so the writers of the script are forced to have Paul and Barnabas argue over Paul's desire to preach in Rome as the basis of their separation.
No Silas on Paul's Second and Third Missions; No Timothy... EVER. No Titus; No Apollos... No, NO, NOOOO!!! James is said to have "known Jesus for a long time" rather than it saying, as the Text of Scripture does, that he is Jesus' brother.
Why not just call the movie "Frank, the fictitious Apostle?!?!" At least that would be closer to the text of scripture. Customer Rating: Summary: Very good, but lack of ending! Comment: I recomend this movie (to all those who are not familiar with the scrptures, what should do) to watch exactly after "The Passion of Christ". The event took place 40 days later and the movie was extraordinary on ambientation, localtions, names...
The only bad think is the end... is like the movie end 45 minutes earlier, you got it?? anyway, is a good movie, just 4 star for the ending
