• It takes time to regrow hair. With Rogaine Extra Strength For Men, results may occur at 2 months with twice daily usage. For some men, it may take at least 4 months for results to be seen.
• The amount of hair regrowth is different for each person. Rogaine Extra Strength for Men will not work for all men. Clinical research in mostly white men aged 18-49 years with moderate degrees of hair loss showed that Rogaine Extra Strength for Men provides more hair regrowth than Rogaine Regular Strength for Men.
• If your amount of hair loss is more than that shown on the side of this carton (shown below), or your hair loss is on the front of the scalp, Rogaine Extra Strength for Men may not work.
• Continued use is necessary or hair loss will begin again. If you do not see hair regrowth in 4 months, stop use. In studies with Rogaine Extra Strength for Men, hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks of continuous treatment in large clinical trials.

Summary: stinks and causes dandruff

This stuff is a mess. causes dandruff, stinks, gets all over the linens.
and you have to do this on a daily basis til you die.
I travel and to be honest too lazy to keep up the regimen.

Take my advice (from one who has tried them all) - Find a good plastic surgeon that does hair transplants - micrografts. down time is maybe 2 wks. Have 2-3 procedures and you are done FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.
Mine was painless.

downside: expense and you need to have 2-3 but looking back-I should have had the surgery sooner.

Summary: Rogain Works
Comment: I purchased 4 month supply. I am 47 and I've grown a bald spot over last 3 years. I wanted to try Rogain to see if it helps. This is the only one I have ever tried. It takes few weeks before you see the effect. After 4 weeks I saw hair growth in bald spot. My spot was about 2" diameter. It is now 6 months I've been using it. I have grown almost 90% of my hair back. I say it works great. Only thing, you have to keep using it without skipping days. Great product.

Comment: I am a big believer in checking reviews on things before I buy, and I know it is very hard to find reviews on this product on the web, so I wanted to write a quick review to let people know of my findings... I am a 30 year old male and I would guess that I have been loosing my hair for a little over 5 years. My hair was getting pretty thin all over the top of my head. I started taking Rogaine Extra Strength 5% solution about 4 months ago. I have also been taking NuHair Regrowth Tablets along with Rogaine (I have been taking NuHair for about a year now, also check my review of NuHair Regrowth Tablets). I can say that I am Very impressed with Rogaine so far. After the first month I started seeing new hair growing, and I am not talking about little peach fuzz like I have seen some reviews talk about. I mean real hair that is the same color as my other hair. I have been using Rogaine all over the top of my head. The hair on the back of my head is growing in the quickest, but it is definitely growing back all over. The way things are going I think that after a year I will have 90% of my hair back. Also, I was able to find a couple of other reviews on Rogaine, and a lot of people complained that they had more hair loss when they first started using Rogaine. This didn't happen to me at all. The only complaint that I have so far is that I do get little white flakes in my hair sometimes, because the Rogaine flakes off of my scalp, but they aren't noticeable at all and they are definitely worth the results.

Summary: Warnings they don't tell you
Comment: I used this product for 12 months and I don't like writing bad reviews, but this deserves attention. My hair was thinning slightly and I was concerned because I was not ready to step into the middle ages early (33). The commercials for this product said, "it is never too early to start using Rogaine". Well, I will tell you the truth. If you have thinning hair, but it is still strong and grows longer the 1/2", then you have hair better than Rogaine hair. Here is what I and nearly every other person I know had happen. First, when you start taking Rogaine, your natural hair will start to fall out. This is normal as the new Rogaine hair will take it place as noted in package. What is not noted is this hair is peach fuzz, never growing longer than 1/2 - 3/4". This hair does not style and is usually lighter than your normal hair, thus drawing more attention to an area you just rather not draw attention to. Think that is bad, that is not even the worst part. As the topical solution covers more of your scalp than the target area, eventually your good hair around the vortex starts to fall out and thin out. Also, Rogaine only works for so long (48 months I think - read fine print in package). Once you stop, your peach fuzz starts to fall out and you are amazed at how your bald spot has grown. Some of your old natural hair grows back, but not as much as you started with, especially if you were to progress that far anyway. In summary, learn to live with the thinning as Rogaine is not a solution. See a doctor - they will tell you the same thing. Some day there will be a cure that does not have an affect you your blood pressure or heart. Remember all the news articles in the early 90's about the risk of Monoxidil? That sure is not printed in the Rogaine package. I rank this product up there with miracle weight loss pills. They pry on a man's desire to have better hair, but delivers results far below a users intentions.
