Summary: how can people rate this badly!
Comment: I love this thing. it is very cool, one of the best products I own. it shuts off if your on hold and theres music-which sometimes is FOREVER, starts again when people start talking. has a bunch of settings. its great for c service issues. ive had it for years now. i bought it because i was tired of having redundent conversations w earthlink about their bogus termination fee, they were trying to scam me and i was ready to send a tape to the ceo. the conversations were clear as a bell...very clear! i would totally buy anything made by this co again. its good to back that a_ up- and this is a great product for it!

Summary: Never worked properly
Comment: As stated by another reviewer, the device turns itself off after recording for a few seconds. E-mail to the company resulted in explaining the same info in the manual i.e., how to plug in, switch settings, etc. Concludes that if that doesn't work, it must be the drive belt. I fastened the Play-Record buttons down with rubber bands, and although it tries to turn itself off (clicking away), I have managed to record conversations. Sometimes I find it taping when nothing is going on. Too much of a hassle to send back, I guess I'll keep it while I look for a more reliable machine.

Comment: It seems like it has the right idea, but the adapter for the telephone jack in the wall didn't work, and the recorder shuts off after about 90 seconds, (you can't record calls longer then 90 seconds without manually restarting the machine). Overall, it's been a hassle so far, and I'm not happy with it. I'm hoping this is only specific to the machine I got, and am hoping the company I got it from will exchange it.

UPDATE: Only after a TON of hassle from the company (who did not want to honor their exchange policy) I finally was able to get a new machine. Which has now also broken. Don't buy this product...and buyer beware if you buy from this seller.
